we cant even locate the main entrance or some enclosure the speaker relates to on the map since they dont even exist

I appreciate your effort giving help to candidates learning English. Please, do well to include the relevant data to help spot the locations on the map. I couldn’t locate the information center on the map neither was I able to see the entrance. Admit this as a mistake from the creator of the map. I hope you will work on this. Thanks

I was confused also. N it's concluded that A is the main entrance.
I'd sitten an exam and my listening score was 7.0 there is no type of that mapping questions. The speaker is talking about the places, but entrance. there is no shown area entrance which callanges all the candidates. To be candid, it makes non-sense according to me.

i was confusing about the entrance at first, but the second time that i listened, i guessed that there would be only two possible entrance : F OR D, to identify which one is the right one, firstly D has a title as " Zebra and Giraffe" But F Doesn't , So it should be F ( this will be concluded only at the end of the section where we identify that C is not the "Zebra and Giraffe" enclosure. just editing the answers is the proper ways to be sure at the end ) , Secondly i refer to speaker when he says after first enclosure, you pass the adventure playground, i guess it would be a confirmation of F option as entrance, and Finally the Dash line that comes out of the F box is half in shape, but the dash line that comes out of D box is normal as the rest. Although these couldn't be 100% logical, but these were my thoughts to answer them. i guess they made the exam too confusing with no reason.

I missed qstn 6. The contact no. Is mentioned in the first audio and the question appears in the second part of the audio where the contact is not mentioned.

hey Rob, will i need to write articles as well, during the real exam? or they should be already written and we only have to write nouns?
It depends on each case, please read the required words for each part
I mean generally,during real exam, not in this case. I have never had a listening writing articles also to be needed, however friend told me it alsy may come and they include like a word( noun)
it's not a real exam, real exams are not complicated like this.

i got 35/40. Made the most mistakes in part 4 even though i feel like it's pretty easy, tbh.
How did you score 35 when the MAP has no entrance( and that's a total of 5 marks certainly lost) and you also made mistakes in part 4?

@@salmanhakeem6069 well, i didn't know where the main entrance was, but i could also work out the answers through other places the speaker mentioned besides that. And for the record, i didn't want to discourage people or anything, look at others comments and see how many people still scored well even though they believed part 2 was tricky and difficult.

hey rob, Is energy use for q40, mini city for q32, and impression for q35 acceptable?
mini city is probably not acceptable because mini is a repetition for the word small that is already there in the question. They don't like repetition in ielts. Impression alone is not the same as first impression, which is a distinction that is relevant to the point they want to make about the airport often being the first thing they see of a country and how that gives the first impression of the country. You have to infer from the first part of the audio that it's the part of the dashed line that looks like a thumb that is below letter H. It's not clearly stated but if you follow the audio about how to one side it's the adventure playground and to the right, after one bus stop lies the African village. That may not be apparent at first, but if you follow the talk until the end and by the process of eliminating other places that you can identify from other clues, you will arrive at that conclusion. Don't feel discouraged if you didn't get a high score here. For all intents and purposes, I can comprehend audio content like a person whose native language is English and I only got the last three out of the five questions.

The key to making the best of the situation when the map is not clear is to just put down your possible choices for answers for each question if you are not sure and follow along the conversation so you can identify as many correctly as possible even without the initial reference point since there usually are other clues along the way. For example, the picnic area is easily identifiable with the clues about its location and what you can see there. The meeting place and Jomo's cafe can also be identified without reference to the entrance. After identifying those, given all you know, you can go back to make a choice between possible answers for the questions for which the answers were or remain not so clear. Whatever you do, don't lose focus of what the person is saying or you won't be able to salvage many points out of it. Good luck.

it's not accepted, please read the question carefully.
It cannot be acceptable because " a total of" in the question needs some number to follow it. Species alone is incomplete and doesn't make sense. Hope that helps. Good luck.
