Fantastic video. The cooked lamb looks so tender, and the rice flavorful and delicious! Only when you marinate the lamb leg I would place it in a tray rather than a cutting board, so it can catch all the juices and marinate the under side as well. Great recipe. Thank you for sharing.

That’s the juiciest leg of lamb I think I’ve ever seen. The oven temperature at 200C seemed pretty high to me, but I’ll give it a try. I usually do lamb shanks at 150C for 5 hours, but leg is more tender so maybe I’ll give this a try. Looks delicious though.
I agree - I tried 200 and it was cooked, but I prefer lamb at 155-160 for longer say 4-5 hours to get it pull apart. At 200 for 3 hours mine wasn't quite pull apart
I made this today for an iftar party at my house...I generally don't cook lamb because I'm not a fan..this was AMAZING!!!! It did take 5 hours but I made sure I had that buffer time. Thank you so much❤

They had it with fish, chicken, lamb and even camel. But lamb was the best option and this certainly reminds me of my time in Dubai. ❤

Not only do I appreciate your wearing gloves, a major and quintessential example of cleanliness in the kitchen, but the menu was simple, but the spices you used are wonderful. The meat, once done, was of a wondeful texture, and not overly stringy, like you see in a lot of the videos for preparing lamb. Thank you so much. Wearing gloves in the kitchen is considered far more unsanitary than just washing your hands. The reason is that people who wear gloves don't wash their hands nearly as much as people who don't. Anytime you go from handling meat to veggies, to opening a door, etc, you need to wash. If you have latex gloves on, you just don't think about it as much. You can't feel if something has splashed on you, or if your hand grazed something in the fridge and now whatever it was, is going into whatever it is you are preparing. Regular hand washing is key. The woman in this is wearing long sleeves and gloves almost certainly because she is Muslim and possibly lives in a Muslim country that does not allow women to expose their bodies in that manner.

As you might notice yourself, how many times people handling food stop to wipe their noses, pet the dog, then put their dirty hands into the food. When you have got to dig your hands down into something that is mushy, you should put on a new pair of plastic gloves. People just aren't clean enough to me, in general. We both have a point. I made this and was veryy tasty 🥺😍😍thank you so much for sharing such a delicious recipe..🙏🏻❤ I made the rice too .. Instead of vegetable bouillon I used chicken cube and added coriander and mint leaves 🍃 too.. all came out so good 😋👌👌
I always make a chutney of tomato,garlic,chili,coriander leaves ,lemon juice,salt and lil cumin powder for basmati rice recipes… and made for this too.. But this rice is not dry and the mutton itself is juicy 😋 so we’ll take a piece and just wrap them with some rice and it’s absolutely delicious.. Actually the chutney was all left .. Sometimes, in between we can add them for a tangy taste..just to enjoy different tastes.. Go for it and enjoy 😍😋 Yeah one thing I want to add is …instead of putting pieces along ..I grinded the onions and garlics to make a paste and added with the spread which was applied on the mutton… you are welcome 😊

I tried this lamb recipe including the basmati rice and it was absolutely delicious! I roasted the lamb at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for four hours though. The meat came out tender, juicy, falling out the bone, and yet the meat remained intact when placed on top of the basmati rice beautifully. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe! It was my first time roasting lamb and it came out perfect.

This is leg, you’d probably have to cook shoulder at lower temp for longer. I do 150C for 5 hours.
