That sort of worked only for me it was the opposite. I slid the card on the flat side. Thanks for a great idea as I was worried I was going to break a clip trying to forcefully spread them apart.

Thank you for this. It took several tries with the credit card before I was able to remove one of the vertical blinds. But it worked!

Thanks for posting! Was trying another bend and snap off method.. Every other time breaking the opening. This works exceptionally well and didn't snap the opening.

Wow, what a hassle-saver! Would suggest, after you slide the credit card under the clip, that you push the vane away from you then pull straight down. For me, that unhooked it easier than pulling the vane straight down from the get-go. THANK YOU!

Did not work for me. The credit card was unable to move past the plastic hook which was located about half way up. Simply cannot remove these thingys.
