Just lost my job about 2 weeks ago, and today I received news that the truck I bought with my last job that the engine is blown and about an 1800 dollar repair, and in the midst of what seems like everything I worked for is falling apart and fading away, I choose to say thank you Jesus! It is well with my soul

Edit: I’ve decided to hold a talk at my university where I talk about invisible disabilities and the importance of service dogs. I am also going to talk about accepting people for who they are and the importance of kind words since that has been lost it seems in society now when someone comments I just smile and play this song in my mind.

When I stopped crying and pleading for God to tell me, this song came on and it was my answer: that I didn't need to know, but it would be okay because God knew and He was in control. As 2020 gets progressively worse, COVID-19 spreading and hurting people, losing my job because of it and being kept home away from any friends I have made over the last year. Now even losing church to it and worried about losing my home. I keep coming back to this song because there's always a reason to always choose joy. There's something deeper this world can't destroy and if that isn't the greatest source of hope then nothing is. "I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. Take heart! For I have overcome the world." John 16:33
Praying for you and your situation! It's been difficult for most of us in different ways, but God has a plan and purpose greater than what we know. Thank you for reminding me. I've been this shy kid that never talked or even smiled. I was just expressionless. But over the years I've heard people in a way criticising me for always looking grumpy or hard to talk to. From there I've tried and did my best to change to open up and smile when I can but people still choose to say I look mad and such and such comments. I've felt bad because I literally am doing what people have been telling me to change. Most times people don't smile back or greet me back. Now I'm at the point where I'm thinking that I should go back to how I was before. But thankfully Sidewalk Prophets have reminded me to choose joy because there's always a reason to. Smiling when I think I can't has actually been helping me a lot. My mood has been much better and I'm finding it seems to effect those around me. Which has the added benefit of proving I am seen. As well I've been showing finding my way back to god as I feel of the path long ago. My 10-year-old cousin was diagnosed with bone cancer this is my battle song for her. She can not go one day without crying so I made a poster saying " You can laugh or you can cry when it all falls apart but I believe the more you laugh the more you heal the heart!" My favorite part!!

My whole life I've had to face alot of adversity and have had many of falls in succeeding what my heart was set out on accomplishing. I have Hydrocephalus and have had 90+ brain surgeries, and with everything I've went through that number is over 100, but the more I take my eyes off of my problem and look to our GOD who is bigger and better than any problem we face, I can smile just knowing that the Creator of the entire universe is walking alongside me throughout all of my struggles. Less than a week ago my father Kevin Rucker passed away. It was a tremendous loss. He loved God. He ministered and worshipped and praised. His death hurt me and my family so much. Before this we attended your concert at a church in Cheyenne Wyoming. I was amazed at your performance but that was all i focused on. I listened to your songs live like that and you love me anyway. Both those songs helped me grieve and mourn. This song helped me look up and keep faith. I want to say that i love and appreciate you guys so so much. I needed to hear this. Thank you!

Smiling when I think I can't has actually been helping me a lot. My mood has been much better and I'm finding it seems to effect those around me. Which has the added benefit of proving I am seen. As well I've been showing finding my way back to god as I feel of the path long ago. But I even find I honestly seem to find responses to my questions I ask in my head whether directly or indirectly through music and shows I'm watching. Like it speaks to me not like it's just something I happened to notice could fit. Thank you for this song.

My 10-year-old cousin was diagnosed with bone cancer this is my battle song for her. She can not go one day without crying so I made a poster saying " You can laugh or you can cry when it all falls apart but I believe the more you laugh the more you heal the heart!" My favorite part!!

I've heard the song on Friday when I, my children, and my students were tired after the tense workdays. And we... smiled! ) And we started to move in pace the melody. I even felt some tears in my eyes because I`m thankful for God for the life! And I think the Lord wants to watch us happy.
August 3rd my Dad crossed over, several hours later he was joined by my Uncle. Sunday, the 28th, my brother in law went to be with Jesus, too. This song, while sobbing through it, really reminds me to keep smiling.

Thank you so much for this it helps me get through so much I chose to get up today clean and laugh and play with my kids. Depression has got me but there isn't anything that God can't do or fix. And i prayed cried and then now that I let it out and let it go I'm okay I can smile now 😊
My whole life I've had to face alot of adversity and have had many of falls in succeeding what my heart was set out on accomplishing. This song helps remind me that in spite of all of my adversities and failures, as long as I keep my eyes fixated on GOD and His promises for my life, I'll always have a reason to Smile. Jesus Christ is the reason for all of us to smile! I have Hydrocephalus and have had 90+ brain surgeries, and with everything I've went through that number is over 100, but the more I take my eyes off of my problem and look to our GOD who is bigger and better than any problem we face, I can smile just knowing that the Creator of the entire universe is walking alongside me throughout all of my struggles. I'm so very Blessed and cannot express the amount of gratitude my heart feels towards GOD. GOD Bless you, Sidewalk Prophets!!
