- Fr. Isaac Relyea shares the amazing story of his mother's persistence in prayer for his conversion, Divine protection, supernatural grace, and the Lord's incredible mercy. He heard the call to the priesthood at an early age but was pulled away by the enticements of the world, had a change of heart, and became consumed with sinful pleasures. This story shows a striking similarity to the story of St. Augustine and his mother, St. Monica.

Oh man made me cry. So powerful and touching. I am a praying Mother and came across this because I've always heard there was a lot of power in a Mother's prayer and was wondering if there was a scripture pertaining to that. God bless this Man, his Mother and family. God bless us all.
God bless you Fr! My mother had 9 children, devout Catholic. Daily Mass, helped the poor tremendous ly, loved by all who knew her. She fasted, prayed and sacrificed continually, every single day. Never without the rosary in her hand, I don't know how many rosaries she prayed a day. Never for herself, always for her kids and the world. Her faith was astounding, I know I broke her heart, my life followed a similar path to yours Fr. I left the church for many years. 9 priests were on the altar at her funeral, the religious loved her dearly. I don't deserve a mother like this, what a blessing. She too was a very beautiful woman, a true Catholic woman, God bless you ma!

I am 9 years late, but may be God willed it. Rev Fr. Issac your blessed Mama was a "Spiritual Lamp" that burned with zeal for ur Ministry. A "Selfless Soul" who through your "Transformative Ministry" redeemed countless souls for the glory of Jesus Christ. And God on his part never rejects the intercession of a Pious Mother. Man!!! ,only if all mothers were such, than Hell would be an empty place.🙏

My dear mother pounded the Catholic faith into all of her children’s heads well into our adulthood. For me, most of it went in one ear and out the other for the most part. But, some of it stuck. It wasn’t until my mid-50s, when my life wasn’t going so well, that I began to resurrect in my mind much of what was lectured to me decades earlier. My faith and works within the Catholic Church have not been more alive than it is today. I literally cannot thank my mother enough, God rest her soul, for her relentless efforts in trying to show us all the true path to salvation.

Mother Mary is strong, even though a teenage girl, the Mother of God carries immense love and patience, like her Son. God, make me a more patient mother and continue to pray for conversion of heart of my only son, and his son. Amen!
as a mother of 4 I am grateful for this testimony. It gives me courage to continue and to ramp up my prayers for my family and for all those who are in danger of losing their souls in what Father Wolfe calls the 'brothel' we live in today. Thank you Fr Isaac and thank you for your mother.

I am in awe of you, with 4. I've only 1 as when younger, other children did not appeal to me, and so when a child came, I limited myself to one. But love him dearly. How others can handle even 2 I applaud, I'd fall apart. God bless you and God be praised!

Well Anne, sadly this man came into the modernist teachings. Sure he teaches sound doctrine but was his ordination valid.
We are living in the times of the great apostacy prophesied by Our Lady and many Saints and mystics.
I'm a stay at home Catholic because of the doubt of ordinations and abuses in the church today. Ecumenism doesn't support sound doctrine. The Ark of salvation is my church and it pains me every day. I hope the truth will conquer stubborn hearts infected with modernism and liberalism.
Mother Mary will supply Graces to the faithful Catholic s that don't support error.

Awesome testimony beyond words.
The last Mission I ever heard was in the early sixties. Those were the days of powerful sermons and many parishioners would make a bee line to the confessional. Thank you Father Isaac Relyea for bringing back those days now, when we need them most. God Bless You!

Thank you Father Isaac for your inspirational testimony. What a blessing your mother is. It very much reminds me of my own mom who passed suddenly January 31, 2001. She too was a very devout Catholic with deep Love for Our Lady. I too along with my brothers were altar boys, served thousands of Masses in those years, prayed the Rosary daily, did the first 5 saturdays of reparation, served at Benediction weekly, and were very involved with our Parish, all due to the example of my mom and her love for Jesus, Mary, and the Church. Sadly, we each lost our way later in life. I know it was the prayers and sacrifices of my mom and her deep love and trust in Our Lady, that eventually led me and my brothers back full force to the Faith. Today we are all consecrated to Our Lady as Franciscan Tertiaries of the Immaculate here in New Bedford, MA. Holy mothers are s special blessing from God. Thank you again Father Isaac. I will pray for you daily as I do for all Priests. May you always remain close to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. - bro. My mom's name is Ann, she is a holy woman as well. Your testimony has moved my heart Father. My son has abused drugs and almost died twice. Our Lord and the Blessed Mother were with him. He has much to do. My dear sister suffers from opression and drug abuse. I will never stop praying for them and make sacrifices for them. God has them! My spiritual director, Father Bradley Pierce, was from Holy Apostles Seminary. This is a wonderful place for older men called to priesthood. He died, this past January, but he saved me, from hell. He had a story of his own, and so do I. So glad you followed your calling!!

Fr. Issac, this testimony shook me... Especially your words.... My life is not good.... I was not faithful to God... I cried bitterly asking myself the same thing... Am I faithful... I am also a mother who prays a lot for my 2 children. I will forward this testimony to as many as I can so that we all do what Fr. Issac did... God's will.

Sue Bravo I had never thought to pray to St. Ann(e) for parents' conversions. How ironic in that St. Ann's was the Church I came into the Catholic Church in! My Dad died about 4 years ago, yet my Mom is still here and doesn't want to hear about anything "Catholic." I haven't done well in the "evangelism department" at all.
This was such a beautiful story of redemptive suffering. It was so inspirational you want to offer yourself up for others.

Beautiful testimony Fr. Relyea, your mother blessed you soon after conception to become a priest through Mother Mary and Padre Pio. Reminds one of other women that prayed for a son, Hannah advanced in years prayed for a son and received Samuel the Prophet, Elizabeth mother of John the Baptist was up in age when she greeted Mary and her future son, John leaped in her womb when Mother Mary, pregnant with Jesus, paid a visit.

The point was that fighting was wrong, not that it set him on the path of success. Fighting turned him away from God. It took him many years to learn to set aside violence and anger. The point of the whole video is that nobody is too far gone for God to save them or call them. Look at the many saints who took religious vows on their deathbeds. Stop blaming your life on one incident and move forward in faith to the life God is calling you to. God has a long history of loving and using people who describe themselves as shy and cowardly, like Moses and Gideon and many more.

Hello Father Issac. Other than being a decent street fighter I have had a similar background to you . My mother was very religious and devoted like yours and thanks to my mother and her prayers for me, I kept my faith to this day even though I had my hiatuses here and there.
