I just gotta say, Jumbo is the biggest “beauty” he truly loves the game and seeing him at Marleau’s retirement, his tears for his boy is genuine l! What a legend!
Just Talkin to the dude you wouldn’t think he would just beat you till your legs don’t work lol such a good dude and warm-hearted to be able to just flip a switch and turn into a killer
the timing may have looked bad but they eventually won a cup and went to 2 more cup finals without him and he led the sharks to a final of their own in 2016. as a bruins fan myself, it was for the best for both when he was traded
at first sure but now it shouldn't matter given the cup they won in 2011 and 2 more cup finals in the next 8 yrs after and the cup final he went to with san jose in 2016
I liked Joe but Samsonov was playing a year sooner. Sammy played like a veteran, while Joe needed a year for more development. Bull shit, there was alot of pressure Joe. Boston took a big gamble on Joe. Boston payed a lot of money. (first round pick) He lacked defensive play. Boston knew he wasn’t a good fit for Boston. They gave him time. Didn’t live up to the expectations while in Boston. Also: Over time organizations realized he didn’t play very well in playoffs. Total career: 32 goals, 102 assists and a plus-minus of -36 in 187 games . He was a good player and had his moments but couldn’t sustain anything consistently. I think his best run was in San Jose when he had very good teammates. Good chemistry. 05-06 was his best season. Leader in points. I was shocked he made it this fare in his career. Go Boston!
What an absolute beauty and a true class act. Boston will always love you, Jumbo! Thanks for all the memories!
Joe is a national treasure. So happy I got his jersey for my bday last year. Now, just need to get it signed like my Vlasic & Erik Karlsson

Miss you Joe 😢#SharksForLife 🦈🦈🦈🦈🏒🥅
Joe is a super guy...great player (and a great fighter too). Boston were foolish to have traded him away.
How he trade him away from Boston

Icon!Hockey nice guy.
The first game I ever watched live, Joe had a Howe hat trick for the Bruins.
Huge fan of Jumbo’s.
Can you remember who he fought?
No, unfortunately. It was literally the first nhl game I ever saw on TV. I’m pretty sure Jumbo was only 19 or 20 at the time.
Anyone here after he signed with the leafs!
@Ego Debt let’s gooo
Big Finnish Shark fan here, GO GET THE CUP JUMBO!!!!
I was heartbroken when the Bruins traded Joe.

Please help us Joe
Should have been a Bruin for life. Would have loved to see him win a title with us. What a career.
Bring him back
Jumbo Joe comes back to the Bruins at the trade deadline and hoists a Cup in Boston.
That did not transpire

Sucks he got traded
I remember hearing that, after the Thornton trade, Raycroft was a cancer in the Bruin dressing room; thus the trade to the Leafs.
Raycroft wasn't a cancer. Rask was a better prospect than Raycroft was worth keeping. Great trade
