1 more 😄...my best seed starting tips...I LOVE the little containers that tiny tomatoes come in...with the flip lid and drainage holes. I use them for the initial seedling starts then I prick them out (a Charles Dowding phrase) one by one and put them in Silo cups. It becomes quite crowded with the cups so I only use them for tomatoes and peppers. I also save all the little cell trays I get when I buy a 6 pack. Everything is recyclable! I get such joy from bundling up in January to get things started. My greenhouse doesn't hold water let alone heat but it truly was a bonus when we bought here 6 yrs ago.

Beautiful space. Much more lavish than mine. My seed starting space is my kitchen island and then in front of the south facing patio door in my boys play room.

I know this is from last winter. You would be surprised what an awesome seed starting room you've got there! Passive solar is amazing. I'd put up inexpensive fold up tables to hold seed trays in front of the windows or your shelves. I have a "greenhouse " and believe me that room of yours probably is warmer in Jan/Feb. I have to use heat lamps to keep things warm when it is cold here in Texas. Also if you can get some heat mats they do an amazing job getting things going...especially peppers. That concrete floor will sweep out nicely. I think it will be perfect as you put your beautiful signature on it.

Coming soon! I hope!! if nothing else I hope it shows there’s so much possibilities without an actual “greenhouse”!
