'Cause here I am presuming that nobody wants a war There's so many people praying just to find out if they're staying But lately stately governments and disillusioned leaders So full of empty promises but rarely do they feed us Put our backs against the wall Or don't we count at all? Can you decide? Are you mesmerised? Do you know which side you're standing? 'Cause when it falls gonna take us all gotta know what we're demanding I'll never lie, can't you hear they cry coming from on high? In 2013 and still loving his music..listen to the words in this song. His message is strong
I'm a huge Jamiroquai fan their music give me life.
i love jamiroquai sm 😭😭
I can't describe what I feel everytime i listen to this song.....
I really love this guy
The meaning seems more relevant to me now than at the time. So bad we have to go all over it again and I don't believe it is for the better this time. Still one of the best bass lines ever.
Amazing song and the extended version is out of this world! Miss music like this.
He so ahead with times then we were so blindsided so glad i listened to beautiful voice&beautiful mind
Beautiful woman.
Desde Santa Marta, Colombia! Aún se disfruta esta hermosa música!
I am from Morocco, a country that speaks Arabic and French. In 1994, I was 20 years old. We bought the channel receiver. I heard this band on MTV. I will not start listening to Bjork Massive Attack Juff Buckley
זה כמו להגיע לחרמון, לא משנה כמה מוקדם תגיע תמיד חצי מדינה תהיה לפניך
חחחחחחח אני מת
The harmony is mind-blowing. An evergreen tune.
This tune takes me back to one of the happiest periods of my life. A stone cold classic.
Holy crap, I'm only now starting a Jamiroquai full-discovery tour through their records, this is just awesome!
0NobleSix0 start at the beginning and work your way through all the albums in the order they were released. Check out there live shows too.
0NobleSix0 from the 2nd album. The bass player was only 18 years old. He left the band in 1998.... ua-cam.com/video/a0uRSQ8nAWc/v-deo.html 👌🏼
Lyrics:
Everybody
Don't want no war
No
No, no, no
We're too young to die
Too young to die
So many people
All around the world, yeah
All around the world
Seen their brothers fry
I've seen your brother fry?
What's the motive
In your madness?
Oh, I wish I knew, you've made my people cry
You've made my people cry
So politicians
At this time
I think you're better keep your distance
Say
Sing it loud
We're too young to...
Doo-do-do-doo-dah-dah-do-dah-dah-do-dah
Do-do-do-doo-lah-dah-do-dah-dah-do [x2]
What's the answer
I wish I knew
To our problems
I think we've gone too high
I think we've gone too high
Little children
Never said a word now
You know they never said a word
Still they have to die
Well I'm asking, why?
It won't be long
No, no, no
Dancing like we do, yeah
Oh, like we do now
To put this sad world right
I gotta put it right
So don't you worry?
My people, we don't have to suffer no more
'Cause we're too young to...
Doo-do-do-doo-dah-dah-do-dah-dah-do-dah
Do-do-do-doo-lah-dah-do-dah-dah-do [x4]
You know we're too young
Yo, this a message
All gone when they drop the bomb, can the politicians reassure?
'Cause here I am presuming that nobody wants a war
There's so many people praying just to find out if they're staying
But lately stately governments and disillusioned leaders
So full of empty promises but rarely do they feed us
Put our backs against the wall
Or don't we count at all?
Can you decide? Are you mesmerised? Do you know which side you're standing?
'Cause when it falls gonna take us all gotta know what we're demanding
I'll never lie, can't you hear they cry coming from on high?
We're too young to die
Doo-do-do-doo-dah-dah-do-dah-dah-do-dah
Do-do-do-doo-lah-dah-do-dah-dah-do [x3]
Doo-do-do-doo-dah-dah-do-dah-dah-do-dah
Doo-do-do-doo-dah-dah-do-dah-dah-do-dah
Do-do-do-doo-lah-dah-do-dah-dah-do [x2]
I ain't reading allat
🌟
I remember riding in my dad’s car and hearing this so much when would pick us up to go to his house. As much as it hurts to hear this song I’ve always loved it. Thank you for the memory of the car rides. Rest in peace dad ❤
Classic masterpiece.
I was just 11 when this song was released. Probably 12 when I first heard it. I remember singing it thinking “ wow this is so powerful” just the words alone even then within my young mind I knew what this guy was talking about.
Today I’m 40, abs the beat is still as silky as ever….
Always actuality Jay Kay The Best Genius Ever 😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤
Best band I've seen live.can remember seeing this video like it was yesterday not 26 year ago. Great song and video
Keep the Funk alive !
I struggle with depression an anxiety. The first for 3 years and the other for 10. It's amazing how emotional, happy, connected I feel with this song and more. Because I also struggle with suicidal thoughts and tendencies I have my own meaning to this song. I say to myself that I and others struggling with these thoughts that we're all too young to die. Especially if it's by our own hand. Thank you all, much love.
Anxiety is a strong foe, but no one is stronger than ourselves! Thank you for these really kind-hearted words, It's really pretty that we're all connected to the same music, and we can give it a meaning that is important to oneself!
@@nicolas4514 Most definitely Nicolas, the fact that it's within us proves that we can with mental strength overcome it. And exactly, we're strong together. I feel even most of us connect stronger than our own family; and that is not necessarily a bad thing. We can help one another based on another's kindness. And I tend to do this for a lot of songs as a musician and a writer. There's countless interpretations based on how we feel but what's important is our passion for the song and artist.
@@elma.s4825 I wholeheartedly agree with everything you've said. I love when people can understand and get music that way, In a way that It means something important to you and helps you! You're amazing, and I love the way you describe things, thank you for all these really cute words!
@@nicolas4514 Thank you so much Nick. No one has been this nice to me in a while honestly. Thank you for replying, it means a lot.
@@elma.s4825 I feel the same! Thank you for being so kind and sharing these lovely thoughts! Do you have any social media where we could talk? I sahre a lot with everything you've said!
Debut album, debut song, so young!Well done!!!
but already the sickest bass line!!!!
Still listening in 2024. ❤❤❤❤
Amazing, legendary band... one of my all-time favorite songs. Conscious, funky, cool... & the message gets through. 💖🔥
Back in the day. .mint tune! !!!! Excellent singer home grown English xxx
love this man i know stevie wonder had to be his biggest influence
Gino Vannelli too.
it really is a shame how despite the fact that this was released over 30 years ago, it's never been as relevant as it is now considering the state of our world
Can here influences and elements of Stevie Wonder, all the Mizells productions, Leroy Hutson... I grew up in London at this time and remember what a great time it was, looking back and forward musically to make the sound of that time. In all genres. Happy memories....
One of my favorite songs of all time.
I can’t lie, Persona games got me into the acid jazz genre and I seriously cannot stress how grateful I am for that. Jamiroquai is amazing
Happy memories brought back there, especially when this came on the radio on the school bus journey home and I sang along with it although I didn’t know the words at the time, all much to the amusement of everyone else!.
Really underrated and ahead of it’s time, this song is what I’ll always remember 1993 for, more than anything.
After 25 years of listening Jamiroquai this is his greatest song.
The message of ths track is relevant even to this day
Beautiful times ,como ha cambiado todo...,.
this song got me into the funkier and jazzier side of music when I was quite young, the keys and bass were sublime, hearing something like that for the very first time and Jay's voice is like Stevie Wonder, magical
