    FABULOUS description of why mixing consoles (especially like the ASP4816) should always have a place in any studio! My buddies questioned my decision to use a Tascam digital desk in my home studio, versus a DAW. I use both actually, although the DAW acts more like a 24 Track recorder in many instances.
    The point is... GREAT VIDEO thanks Mr T.

    Perfect! THIS has to be our next console! Thanks to Pete's Tape machine my critical friend is finally convinced too!
    If you watch the video of the firm: NO computer No firmware update bullshit! Complete analogue and nevertheless modern! Why does nobody build a modern tape machine?
    Thank you Pete!

      that is an unbelievable record, especially in a modern form through good monitors it sounds unbelievable and stands alone as a work of art. it is very very strong as art. the drums and bass gtr are mind blowing. the original tracking is deep, impeccable and flawless.

      It’s a 1” 16 track. It’s not an Otari MX70 or a MX7800. I can tell by the VU meters.

    Is there seriously no sound treatment in this room? I mean it sounds decent on this interviews recording but I don't even see anything on the walls to control flutter.

      You don't see what you don't see. Anechoic chambers aren't good either. What matters is results.

    • @michaelolgaalgar5729
      @michaelolgaalgar5729 6 років тому +2

      If it sounds fine then it obviously doesnt need treatment.

    • @MarcChevalier
      @MarcChevalier 6 років тому

      It's there, it's just a style of treatment that remains very clean to the eye. What appears to be the wall surface is acoustically transparent fabric with various types of absorption and diffusion materials behind it. It's very common in professional studios. Guilford of Maine make fantastic fabrics for this purpose. www.guilfordofmaine.com/acoustic

Compartmentalize your thought patterns promotes long term memory and shirt term memory. • @tekis0
      @tekis0 2 роки тому

      One doesn't need a big monitor when he's mainly working on a tape machine. If you look, there's only about 8 faders on the screen.

    I think Townsend went a little bit overboard on praising the Audient console for 5 minutes. I do think is a good console and I own some of their interfaces but just too much too long.
