Good little helper there! She reached right in and grabbed the deer meat plus really good with the salt measuring! Well done and thanks for sharing! I may give this a whirl!
We’ve been canning deer meat for years absolutely delicious 👍I love eating it right out of the jar better than beef in my opinion. Thanks for sharing 👍👍🦌🦌
I like the way you did this video and that you are teaching a future generation how to do it the way my parents did. I too, have to agree with the others, your helper is a cutie.
It is sad, seeing how society is today. People so out of touch with where their food comes from, and the "old way" of doing things. I hope and pray we get back to more wholesome living. Thank you for watching, I do appreciate it. Take care, and God bless you. ❤️
started cannin deer meat this. got a presto cooker. i think its one of the best ways to eat deer! i have real hard water and i have been putting some vinegar in the canning water and it prevent minerals from being all over my jars.
Well I know what im trying this deer season. I have two nieces, 9 and 6, who are living with us now. They love being on the farm and helping the wife can. This will be a good project for them and teach them how preserve meat.
My Dad hit a deer going deer hunting with my big brother back in '91 and hit a deer with the pickup truck. Did cosmetic damage to the pickup truck only. Killed the doe. Dad flagged down a deputy sheriff and he called the game warden on the radio. The game warden gave my Dad a pass on the doe to take it home. Dad and big bro' went to the farm and got on stand. Dad then shot another doe that morning! Wish I could've been there. I was in Kuwait, serving in the US Army. My big bro' had just gotten out of the Marines a few months before. Big Bro' shot a doe a few days later with my .270 Remington. I wish I could've been there, but... Duty Called.
What a year!!!! That's awesome! Too bad you couldn't join in but thank you for fighting for our country and I am glad you made it back safely. Was there ever a year the three of you all tagged out?
A few years we all got at least 1 deer. The most memorable was back in the mid 1990's. Early muzzleloader season. My big bro' was using his Kentucky rifle while Dad was using his Hawkins rifle. Dad filled a doe tag the first day. My big bro' was into the Buffalo bullet fad. He was firing a 450 grain molded bullet in .45 caliber. I was using a Traditions .50 caliber rifle with a TC 225 grain molded bullet. Big bro' had a doe come in to 25 yards of him feeding on acorns. When the deer had its head down feeding, he fired at the top of its neck (the deer was coming head on to him). He mowed off its skull! That's a lot of bullet drop! @@MaineGirlOutdoors

Awesome video! I love watching your stuff! #Outlaws chop shop palmyra ME.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it.
Why do you turn the fans and heat pump off?
So I went by your directions but noticed my weight was 15# about 1/2 way through the cook. Is that going to be a problem.
I’ve been wanting to learn how to do this for an awhile now. I just need to stop being so stubborn and just do it.
It is intimidating at first, but once you get started you'll wonder what you were worried about. 😉 Good luck!
Thank you ma’am 👍
Great info kiddo 👍😃✌️🇺🇸💪❤️!

Thank you. During rifle season.
We can our deer meat and absolutely that broth makes the best gravy ever. We can the scrap meat for our Golden Retriever and she loves it,
Can't go wrong with that!
