- www.motorbeam.com tests the 2017 Pulsar 135 LS which is the entry-level Pulsar. The updated Pulsar 135 is now BS-IV compliant and gets a slew of aesthetic changes to make it more commuter friendly. The 2017 Pulsar 135 LS is priced attractively to take on the Hero Glamour and the bike returns a mileage of 65 km/l.
The Pulsar 135 LS has been repositioned to offer a better commuting experience. Bajaj has made tweaks to the engine and exhaust to make the motorcycle smoother.

Hi Faisal....!!what does it lack when compared to pulsar 150.
This was my first ever bike... I m really emotional for this baby pulsar as it served really really well in 5 years & i had no complained about it whatsoever... But now the new edition is almost shit compared to the original 135ls.... Commuter.. Yukk 😏 miss my old baby.

And it used to give me superb mileage. My friends who had Splendor and Twister, they were getting equivalent or less mileage as compared to my Pulsar 135.
So you may guess how much fun I had.
Its cornering ability was also good.
I took it for 600km ride in mountains and it performed superb.
And yeah, I easily smoked Fazer (150cc)

This bike is, without doubt, the best commuter bike in the market. People stll buy Shine, Glamour and other soul-less bikes but the Pulsar 135 is what is fun and efficient.

If you think that this bike looks like Discover then go for Fully Black Edition of Pulsar 135ls...

I've ridden 80536 KMS by this bike. And still goes like charm ♥️

Digital meter stopped working, even after getting it repaired, it again stops working.
Second problem is noise of timing chain. You just have to rev it hard once or twice, in a month it started making noise again.
So finally I sold it. I could sell it only for ₹12,500 (2010 model) in 2016
How many kms did you ride total?
MotorBeam I bought it second hand, its was on 12,000+ kms.
Then may be I ridden it for more 30-35k kms.
Not sure because meter was not working at all.
Already own the older version 135 ls as my first bike ; I feel the split seat and split handle give it a more sportier look than this; But the sound on this one is amazing ; is it possible to get sound changed on the older one?
Possible by opting for a new muffler.
You need to perform whole engine along with new 5 map digital CDI, no change in exhaust.

Yes it does but this one is more practical.
I Have 2011 Model, still running butter smooth, only clutch plates changed.
Even I got a pulsar 135 2011 runs very well, it is an underrated bike

I think this is better than pulsar 150. Better initial performance and better mileage. This bike got 13 bhp while 150 have 13.xx bhp which means little better engine for 150

I have this bike. i was happy when i calculate 60km/l whenever i turn reserve in initial times. But once i went to a place for which gmaps showed me 18km from origin. but when i reached that place the odo showed 22km. after that i always compare the km in map and in odo and odo always showed few kms extra(around 20%). i convince myself that gmaps cannot see vertical distance so that it doesnt show actual km. but can anyone confirm this?

I have ridden over 45k on the 2010 model and it looks wayyyyyyy better than this one, this model is almost an insult to the older one. Yes, the older one was just a simple entry level sporty cum commuter bike but it looked so good and gave it a bit of character. I still have the old one and i love both red and black colors on old ones. I want to upgrade but confused if to go with ns,rs 2017, fz25 or dominr as all of those bikes seem to not be satisfying enough. Turkey ns with fi and dual abs is perfect but maybe i would go for a 400 cc bike.

This is my first bike and I am using this bike from 4 years. Even though emotional with bike as it is my 1st Bike, however not happy with my selection. I should have chosen Avenger or Vikrant or Pulsar 150CC
Pros:
1. Mileage ranging between 50 to 55. On highway rides definitely 55 you will get.
2. This bike is light weight which helps to maneuver the bike easily in any situation.
Cons:
1.This bike is only useful for single rider due to 135 CC. With two rider, it won't pull much and rider will feel discomfort to ride.
2. Tall people cannot sit with straight back due to its handle design and seat position, so tall people never buy this bike.
3. Pick up of this bike is very poor, which irritates you during overtaking other vehicles.
Overall a average bike and useful for people who want to learn riding bike from start.
Hi Sir I am looking 125 to 150 cc bike I am family person and my daily running is 10 km max I am confused between V15 onroad cost is 77500 and Pulsar 135 = 75216 pls guide which I should go for I am worried about V15 seat as it might be uncomfortable if go out with wife and daughter for pulsar seat is bit long but look wise I like V15 pls guide i like unicorn but very costly

ride it since 2010 till now, replacing clutch plate twice, boring once, piston twice, cam chain twice, engine bearing once, wheel bearing once. Still rock and 1:50++ milleage
Man! you got a defective product I guess. All I have replaced is just tyres, battery and clutch+brake cables.
The rpm rolls much faster than the old one. I once owned the old one. Unfortunately bajaj auto quit from indonesia Greetings from indonesia.

the silencer doesn't go with the rear design.. they could have tried the design cues from pulsar 150.
