I cannot believe it!!! Is that a G# sharp at the end??? Is he singing the whole song half key higher than any regular baritone who sing it in F!???? This man is gorgeous!!! Long life to maestro Shore!!!! applause!!! Bravo!!!
Joseph Shore Gee Joe you shouldn't be the one thanking me, rather I should be the one thanking you. I'm retired from singing now but I owe all my success in my later years to you. The Internet is full of fakers. There are only two or maybe three guys worth listening to. Joe Shore is one of those. I can never repay the debt I owe you Joe.
Thanks for replying. I live overseas now, so I'll try to get it on my next trip to NY. Until then, let me say once again how much I enjoy your recordings, and what a true shame it is that so many others did not get to enjoy it live all these years. You had a first rate voice in the normal range, and an added range of incredible bass notes and sensational tenor notes that not even Lawrence Tibbett, my all-time favorite, could match. May you enjoy your retirement in health for many more years.
This requires a longer answer than youtube allows. I wrote a partial biography to explain things. Go to Amazon and search for Good Dreams by Joseph Shore
Mr. Shore, while your voice producttion is somewhat unique, you clearly have a first rate Verdi baritone. In your opinion, how do you explain your failure to make it on the big scene, esp. after winning some fame through the auditions? Was it a bias against an untrained singer, or stubborness on your part to adapt to accepted singing styles? In an age so devoid of true Verdi baritones, you could seemingly have filled such a nice role! (and I am not even talking about your incredible top)

Yes it is a G sharp.
A voice like a lion at feeding time. What a full rich and powerful sound.
Thank you (growl)
