Interesting take on the inverted snowblower. Going to look into seeing if I can find a small one for a BX.
    *Keep on tractoring!*

Right on! I appreciate it, yes they do make some for smaller tractors! Just limited by the size so can’t handle large snow falls as nicely as a large unit.

Hi Matt as much as I do appreciate your input on the conventional VS inverted snow blower I would like to interject . First thing is to evaluate how much you are willing to spend, are you getting one for your own driveway are you looking to make this a business because at de end of the day they all accomplish the same result, As for my self I've chosen the front mont snowblower, My resin why are the following I have 65 driveway to clear and I"m 61 with a very sore back making it very hard to turn and look wile going backward, Also I prefer driving in customer driveway avoiding driving over the plowed snow bank and minimizing turning around to look bank. Also my customer are spoiled the snow band can be as hight as 7 , 8 ft hight so I clean about 3 t0 5 feet on each side of the driveway to make it easier for them to see if there any incoming cars so easier driving front ward in the snow bank. Just saying Yves from Canada

All equipment has its place, inverted works the best for my situation. I’ve played with front mount blowers before and although they are more comfortable and easier on the operator it can be difficult to steer around bends in heavy snow. As long as each tractor can hold around 100 driveways and keep clients happy, then I’m happy. As for price, I like the 80-140k (Canadian Dollar) tractors around 100 Hp with snow tires and a blower of any make.

I own a business in Fargo ND doing residential snow with JD 4Rs and inverted cyclones. They have treated us really well but have 2 major down sides: 1. Scrape quality and 2. Speed on low amounts of snow compared to an extending blade. We get many snow falls under 4” here and I think an extending blade that scrapes better and is wider than our blowers would be ideal for the driveways, and then blow the snow once it is in the street.
We also picked up a PXPL and if we ever get snow I will be trying it out in comparison to the inverteds!

I would agree, the scrape quality is my only reoccurring issue I have with inverted blowers, as the season goes on and the cutting edges wear down it gets worse. I like the idea of a 3-point extendable back scraping snow blade or something of the sorts. Perhaps a conventional blower on the rear and a blade on the front that way you can get the scrape quality of a blade and the benefit of snow banks. Appreciate the comment!

@@Dr.SnowRemovalyup, I’m thinking a front blade similar to what many of the CA Frenchmen run. I want it short, but a live edge for superior scrape would be great. And then an inverted cyclone on the rear because they just kick ass in 4-12” of snow. Less than 4” the blade would be great

I’m looking at getting an inverted for my driveway(about 300 yards long). How do they perform in heavy wet snow? I’m getting a smaller tractor and how do they match up as far as clogging compared to other snowblower styles? Thanks for the info. Great video.

Great discussion sir! I found this along with the comments to be very informative. Do you have a particular wax that you prefer to use on your blowers? Thanks and happy New Year!

I use a product I found on Amazon which I buy in bulk. Some people also use snowboard wax! Happy new year 🎉

Those are some awesome blowers, but what are their limitations that you have found. A front mount blower seems like a better choice for deeper snow even better if it's mounted to a FEL. Are these blowers mainly designed for driveways and up to 2 feet of snow? How deep of snow have you been able to use this in? I have a truck mount blower for my acreage road and I'm limited by the blower height (Frontier SB1164) and the 9 inches of lift. Now we do get 4 foot drifts out here, and this is my second year snow blowing. I've always plowed and having to deal with snow piles all over the place. I am a firm believer that all snow removal equipment has it place in the snow, it boils down to what your snow conditions are and how much area you need to clean. Great video and now I'm going to watch some more of your vids. Cheers from Sask, Canada.

Thank you so much for the comment and for checking out my other videos! I’ve been doing snow management for as long as I can remember. It was my hobby and now it’s my living. I agree with your statement of all gear has its time and place. For me personally I run large equipment… everything over 100+HP. So the smallest blower I run is 92” and I’ve looked into larger. The inverted blower family especially the hybrids handle any amounts of snow & drifts with ease. If the snow is too tall to drive over, you can leave it at half mass and push through to the back of the driveway. Thanks again and welcome to the channel!
