I must say, this time Tekken devs made the new characters movelist a lot more complex compared to T7 new characters.
Movelists also feel complete from the get go.

Her design makes her cool, but her VA makes her memorable. Amazing pick and amazing performance.
Her voice actor did an amazing job too. In all my years playing Tekken, Reina is definitely my favorite newcomer.

Reina's voice actress is Asami Seto. She best known voicing Raphtallia in Shield Hero, Nobara in Jujutsu Kaisen, Mai in Seishun Buta Yarou, etc.

Man the animations for Tekken 8 look so clean and natural. Re-rigging all the characters definitely paid off.
ong frfr, it's like you're drinking water at 3pm vs. drinking water at 3am, it's so much better than in Tekken 7. Shi, both Tekken 7's animation and skin shading looks like it came from Mortal Kombat 9, I prefer Tekken 6 over 7 and 8 over 7.

I remember people said that she wont get Heihachi moveset because thing like Headbutt look silly on her back during leak. Im glad she have Heihachi move.
I smiled seeing her do the signature Mishima "Stonehead" throw.
I love how despite sharing the same animations they still adjusted them in a subtle way to fit her pseronality. Her WS 4,4 is a perfect examample with the heel squashing the ground.

@@JunKazamaFan First of all: Yes, that would've been amazing! But the issue isn't necessarily the leopard print/jacket. It's the horrible combination with a basic black T, and old-fashioned denim. And what are those glasses? None of those items work in combination with Reina's depiction. She's depicted as a youthful, sadistic, modern, Japanese school-girl/ young adult. And that outfit is anything but that. They could've made that jacket work but decided not to lol.

I feel like Heihachi raised and trained Reina in secret to enter the picture should he die on the battlefield.
Well, he tried to eradicate the devil gene at all cost, so Reina is kinda lost in the plot (even for Tekken standards). Many people assume she is a clone of Kazumi, or at least they used her genes somehow, something that Heichachi would never aprove... but the fact Reina worships Heihachi, lol who knows wth is going on, at least Reina looks cool (unlike Lars)
I love how you can see the impact of the leg attacks, the character tries to adjust their balance by swaying their legs behind the center of gravity just to maintain their own balance and defaulting back to their idle stance.
Also love the double leg sweep, it feels realistic to duck even more to spin even more. Heihachi hellsweeps don't make sense, there's no additional torque for the rest of the triple hell sweep.

Presumably, he knows of Reina's existence, unlike with Lars. There's too much Heihachi influence in her for there not to be a full connection there.

She’s missing his charisma. This is not a replacement for gramps. She needs to be roughed up a bit. Lidia had visible muscle and a scar on her face that illustrated she’s a real warrior. Kazumi had a regal presence and even though she had no scars she had an elegant mature geisha demeanor that hinted at her experience. They were grown ass women and didn’t have generic personalities. On the surface it’s just a game but you can clearly see the devs trying to appeal to a certain demographic that wants cutesy doll type “perfect” women. Her fighting is unique though .

She is able to use heat burst after 4 electrics unlike Kazuya and Devil Jin right now. I think that's because it is also a heihachi trait back in Tekken 6 and tag 2 which Reina's heat burst mmics the T6 and TT2 D+1.
Heihachi has fundoshi. So he wins by default.
Let's hope that more customization options will be available for both male and female characters. The character outfit swap like Lili getting Asuka's costume is a nice touch.

It would be cool if she had omens. I'm doubtful, but that would be epic. Also a change I would like for her is her ws2 to have the opponent give +14 frames standing instead of crouch, so then she can have a Perfect Electric set up 😈.

@@IAMOP I think she can do it with the "wind step" (Move 119 in the move list), which is exactly like Kazuya's mist step in being '➡️⭐️', and by pressing df after she has access to an i13 electric.

since reina is somewhat like heihachi they just have made reina's attitude elegant but egotistical who can defeat even male characters in tekken, even though Lili has this kind of attitude she can't even stand against male characters in story. 🤘🤘
Lili is stronger than you think in her tekken 5 Dr intro you can see that she beat Forest law and got hes invitation to the tournement l am confident that she could defeat Jacks and a character like lei wulong
