George A Romero interviewed on BBC2 about Dawn of the Dead

  • I seem to remember this short interview piece accompanied Dawn of the Dead's first uncut screening on terrestrial UK TV - on BBC2 in about, I think, 1997. Apologies that I missed the beginning, but it's interesting viewing particularly in the light of Romero's more recent films. As is ritual, I must admit to not owning the copyright in this off-air recording from UK public service broadcasting, shared merely for the enjoyment of its rarity.

    First time i saw dotd in 1997 with this before it, i was 13 and have been obsesssed ever since bravo

    I am obsessed with this movie. Currently working on a retrospective review about this movie just in time for the 45th anniversary (initial release date was 9/1/78) and the algorithm led me here. This is great, thanks for posting. Rip George A. Romero

    How far ahead was he on the curve?
    I mean he nailed it back then, but if were alive today, he'd see that things have amplified x 100 compared to 1978.
    But even back then he could see it in his own time.
