The timing on this is great. The imagery was intense when the music was intense and the softer parts were adorned with softer viewing material. Good job!
Everyone saying that they wished Armand had Auburn hair and was 17 just be lucky he got to speak in this movie. Sure they make Armand look like how they described in the book in Queen of the damned but I never heard Armand in Queen of the damned Speak a line.

I'm very disturbed about that stripper play scene. I can't believe that loads of people came to Armand's theatre and thought that the vampire cult session was all an act!
Apparently there indeed was a theater in Paris that offered horror spectacles. Anne Rice was not aware when she wrote it but apparently there was one and it was said to be extremely graphic in terms of violent scenes. It was the first...horror spectacle industry.
armand is the most bad ass vamp in the history of vampire movies and shows!!! thumbs up if you agree.... and btw i know this may sound stupid but a sequel is def over due??? possibly????? haha

Often this is because a particular take might be really cool looking but it just doesn't quite fit with the rest of the movie, so instead of just cutting it, they use it for the previews. If you start paying close attention to previews & movies, you can see this happen a lot -- usually it's minor, sometimes it's major. My personal memory is of Armand doing this hand motion slower and with more reaction in his face. However, I would have to see all the original theatrical previews again before I would make a final call on this one.
I love Armand. He is a very interesting character. I like Antonio's version of a vampire called Armand. But he doesn't look like the books Armand to me.
I agree. I saw the movie then read the book. Armand is supposed to be at least a teenager but I think Banderas was such a great casting for this. I love how dark and classically vampirish he looks without looking cliche. I love how he comes off as ancient and powerful yet in later books he is actually a relatively young vampire and misguided

@PeterxEdmund Thank you! I would have been fine if he didn't look like a kid in the movie cause it's hard to find an actor that matches a character perfectly but he is so different then Armand. They got Lestat and Claudia and Louis and everyone else nearly perfect but him. I love Lestat too in Interview with the Vampire she made you kind of hate him but in The Vampire Lestat she made us love him.

I was very disappointed that Armand had auburn hair and was seventeen after reading the Vampire Chronicles, (I was born when this was released but watched it when I was younger and then read the books in my early teens!) I love this movie, and I love Antonio, but I wish they had someone better to portray Armand. He's my favorite Vampire! Apart from Lestat of course!
Apparently Armand grew feelings for Louis and wanted to travel with him but he saw Louis' affection for Claudia so he did use Lestat to testify against her so she would be executed so he would be free to follow Louis. Eventually after they traveled together and Armand did confess to Louis what he had done and Louis was already cold to him anyway, they parted ways.
When I first watched IWTV I really didn't like his hair! But after a few watches (I just HAD to get it off ebay in the end! Only 99p!) I simply had to conclude that he's one of the coolest vampires out there! A bit of a *smoothie* against all Lestat's hysteria and Louis's moodiness. ^_^
@PeterxEdmund I know right Marius wasn't as smexy as I wanted and the messed up Lestat's turning it was suppose to be Magnus that turned Lestat not Marius and they should definitely make a movie for The Vampire Armand I would scream.
