Hi mate, what wing are you using? :) Also anyone over there having good success with Armstrong wings for down wind ? … they seem a bit twitchy not smoothing things out.
For winging For winging on San Francisco bay I recently moved from Armstrong (started with 1850 to 1250 to 925 this season) to Unifoil's new Hyper V2 with their new mast - and lovin' it. Less twitch, lower stall speed, more forgiving, much more of a "surf" feel.
Thank you. What causes the clean lines and bump definition on dw runs? I have been exploring the coast and find that even in good winds it is too messy water not very comfortable to ride and connect bumps.
depth of water, ocean bottom (reef/sand/ect) swell energy, coastline/refraction. where are you located? keep getting out there, soon enough youll see patterns and different pathways and develop efficiency for your local area.
what a nice ride, well done. i've been noticing recently that you guys out in hawaii are riding thin boards that look like tiny offshore SUP or even prone boards.

Great video and camera angles. Really enjoyed the commentary / run breakdown. What was the wind speed/direction?
Winds were approximately 15 mph with stronger gusts. NE trade winds
