It's about 4:28am where I am right now, and I'm about 2 weeks away from a CGI short deadline for my college applications. You have no idea how insightful (and interesting) your video on this was for me. Turned off my adblock when I watched it a second time. Kudos to you, man, great work. hope to see more videos from you!

Blender Guru's been really quiet ever since this came out :0 Kidding, but thanks so much! My mind was blown on the anamorphic bokeh section. I had no clue that Blender could do that lol
Thank you so much for this info. I keep coming back to it as I work to make my renders more cinematic. And I totally love your editing: extremely funny but makes the content memorable. Keep up the good work!
I saw a lot of Blender Clips - like from CG Geek, Blender Guru and so on (they are all really good)...and....damm...you are really really good. hope to see a lot more from you in getting more realistic vfx shots in Blender. Thank you very much...this video is absolut professional...amazing talent you have
1edit is that red is actually less powerful than blue that is why we see it more. Check out the color spectrum red wavelengths are longer which makes it easier for us to see it.
This is suuuuuuch a good tutorial. I knwo this is a blender tutorial but a heads up for chromatic abberation. It isn't a uniform effect when filming, but iirc it occurs in areas of high contrast. Edges of metals for example. Unfortunately i don't know any good way to do it in blender. I know it's possible in Da Vinci though! You are quickly becoming my favourite youtuber mate!
Insane editing here my man. Also top quality information. I hope you get that camera end of the year. This kind of youtube content is too good to not invest in.
Great video man. Would love to see your process in compositing how you transformed that render at 16:40 to the final photo. How you added background and fog
I bought two cheap Neweer lights from Amazon and they came with color filters. And there is a more powerful desk lamp pointing to the wall on the right to imitate a softbox.
This video was great and answered a couple questions I had. I wanna do vfx but don't know where to start. I'm not at pro skill level in blender but I have knowledge on modeling texturing and rendering. Can someone help😅
I'd say depending on your plans you either want to become a generalist or a specific skilled artist. In larger studios there are less generalists and more specific people. In small ones the opposite. Practice VFX shots and once you feel the simple shots are good enough for some small commercials/music videos, ask a local studio for an internship and see what happens next after that. It's like climbing a ladder.
Yes, move your mouse over the value you want to animate and press I. Then move forward/backwards the desired amount of frames and press I again. Animation!

So thats why I always say, if you don't care about star wars, but just want an eye catching move to watch, then the sequels are just fine.

You should check about golden proportions, this is a very important thing in order to set elements on a scene.
I'll look into them, a good suggestion
he already mentioned rule of thirds. golden proportion is approximately a third so..

Will you continue Math series?
When Nodevember arrives
Do you use Davinci resolve?
I use Final Cut actually, been thinking of learning Davinci because of the Fusion compositor
5:01 you went invisible there for a second , don't do that ever again :k
I'm sorry if it disturbed you.
I don’t know why I watch these videos cause I know my shitty laptop won’t be able to even render a single second
Render 500ms then.
How did you add the digital noise at 13:28? It doesn't look like just the overlay would work.
It's a built in tool in Final Cut Pro
can give me more information about the picture / scene at 8:34 ? i like it very well and want to rebuild it of my own, thanks Sir
1:00 а за то, что русских упоминают в левых англоязычных видео конечно приятно)
Any recommendations for a film grain plate?
Just a white noise works well in my opinion
Check out unreal engine, I'd love to see people rendering cinema quality stuff from that.
Do I qualify as a cinema level film enhancer? (idk the title for the guy responsible for the post production colour grading and stuff)
A colorist should be the name I think
