@@carclain123 he’s basically asking why the port numbers in “port_list” are inputted as a string type which you can recognize with “7001” etc. He was curious why they didn’t use plain integers (number) such as 7001 instead of “7001”.

It shows an unfortunate truth about reality, that decent people are sometimes crushed because those with power see them as bugs, and use them as human shields.
It is pointless, and wasteful but very true nonetheless.

@@jacksonrae2785 Its even worse. It shows that decent people will be made responsible for things they have no control over. Elliot said it best imo "Sure, a couple of good people had to die in disgrace for that" They got pulled into something bigger than themselves and were used to tell a story

They got involved in a political rebellion and got overwhelmed. Suicide is often used as an out so cultists/terrorists can't get tortured for information, so the soldiers romanticise it. It's like the stupid terrorist 'if we blow ourselves up we'll get a bunch of virgins'.
It just makes sense that cultists forced them to do this. And this is the kind of people you would encounter if you cause a political rebellion etc

What's the deal with everyone always praising Leon as if hes some sort of deep character with complex morals? I always see comment praising him as some great character, but he has absolutely no depth, and as he says his only god is the "almighty paper" ... I disliked his more than almost any character in the show

There's a lot I like and don't like about this show. I often felt like the writing and editing was set to dupe viewers such as this scene. Creating this suspense and expectation that the FBI was going to save them but you get tricked into finding out it's too late. This show often did "Gotcha!" moment type twists which ultimately caused me to not enjoy the show as much. There were a lot of scenes and moments that were so good until the twist and weren't better because of it. A twist should enhance the pre-existing narrative, not undermine it.
