I like others such as the Great Tit, Robin, Blackbird, Wren. In fact, I love birds in general, even some of the unfeathered ones.
There's one outside my bedroom window right now. Been singing for the last hour! Do one! lol. Lovely to hear and see

Same here. I have long wondered what that nice birdsong was, and I've just seen a chaffinch sitting in my willow tree singing this song. Lovely.
In April 2018 we spent a few hours by the lake at the bottom of Mount Vogel in Slovenia. While there, a cheeky little chaffinch hopped right up next to me, very close. I've seen plenty of finches in my home country of Australia, but had never seen a chaffinch before. It was pretty special.

I love this bird's color and sound. Unfortunately, we don't have chaffinches where I live (I live in the US, while chaffinches live in Europe). But we do have birds around here that sound similar to the chaffinch.
My bird prefers to watch and listen to birds singing live. Nice sound. I never subscribe unless the birds sing live.

This "dusk till dawn" constant alarm call is doing my head in...
Experiencing this bird "song" for the first time
as I moved home 6 months ago.
Have to say, an extremely monotonous and annoying bird call
that goes on non-stop from dusk till dawn without stop or variety.
Been at it now for 4 weeks and trying to go bed early is out of the question
as this specific bird "song" comes through even shut, modern windows.
I have several other (more pleasant) bird species singing away in the garden & surroundings,
but only the chafinch's breaches the sound barrier... :-(

Did you find a solution to the Chaffinch and it's torturous tone?
It's 4:50am and the spawn of Satan that is the chaffinch in my tree has woken me up, again. He goes on from about 4:30am until 10pm.
He doesn't shut up, not even if I go outdoors to jump up and down and shout at the tree!
Nor if I try to climb the tree, or even play random birdsong back at it!
This spawn of Satan is the bane of my life! It goes on and on with its monotone tortuous bird song!
I fear that it may have escaped Hell and has come to torture me for crimes from a past life!
Did you find a solution or do I have to ask the RAF to do an airstrike on this tree?
