    So amazing. Never even heard of this one before. In my ignorance I simply presumed, the Finnish gods were the same as the Scandinavian and Germanic ones. I'm so sorry. Thank you for clearing that up

    Yes, the word Jumala generally just means god, and when speaking about someone like Ukko, or any other god we call him Ukkosen Jumala which translates to god of thunder, and other nicknames

      @@samileppanen3584 The OP means the pronunciation as explained to native English speakers.
      I think it would be more like saying the first syllable of "Ju" as "You" without the double vowel at the end and saying the A's of "mala" like saying I in 'time".
      Lol. I dunno. Explaining this is hard.

    I liked this video but J’s are pronounced like y in Finnish. It’s Yoo-mah-lah, and ooh-kohn-vaah-yah
    Similarly, Thors hammer is pronounced myohl-neer

    Very poor and inaccurate pronunciations of all Finnish names. Even Ukko and Jumalla. You could have taken some little trouble to learn how to pronounce these Finnish names.
