Can you please confirm whether this connects to the larger factory amps? From 2:30 it definitely looks like it does, but I was under the impression it had it's own built in amp. My car has premium audio so I didn't want to lose any of the volume/quality from the better amp.
The long IOS cable connects BLP unit with factory amps and that's is the single way having sound in the car. The sound quality and volume didn't change.

Hi guys, hopefully someone can help me out here. I installed this unit because I have an 08 S40 with High Performance Sound system. It had the amp in the rear left of the car. My main cable harness has speaker wires though apparently and I didnt know this. So apparently, the amp in the unit got fried when I plugged it in and used it (worked for about 10 minutes). The people at BLP are saying that I have a basic audio system... but it's not.. it's high performance. Any thoughts? Thanks!
This car has High Performance Sound System too and you have to wire the same way. Ensure that you received all harnesses especially long IOS cable (approximately 4 meters) BLP they provide screen and black box for GPS nanigation antennas microphone rear view camera... But sound has to come through original car's amp.
