Thank you for this video Mr Washer. The warning from Cain's life is especially helpful. Beware of resenting others who choose to follow God wholeheartedly. My resentment reveals that God is not my priority and that His love is not filling me. This attitude is very easy to adopt and applies to many areas of life including resenting others' hard work, success, leadership and skills. After the resurrection, Peter was asking about what Jesus would do in John's life. Jesus said to Peter, "If I will that he [John] tarry till I come, what is that to thee? Follow thou Me." Likewise we need to follow God first and that will mean I love others and no longer resent them. Instead I will love them. John 13:34 to 35.
"We dont treat people as somenthing special simply because in some way they benefit us, we treat people as special because God made them" Thank you!! I really always need to remind myself of this everyday.
Father have mercy and guide me sometimes i like or loved to be recognized and when I am not or someone else is in the spotlight I do feel something but I quickly realized it and speak back to myself hope the Lord get me out of those envy moments in Jesus mighty name Amen Amen
I don't usually comment on these videos but I'm truly thankful for you brother Paul, I'm 15 years old, this video was uploaded on my birthday and I have a little brother, I feel like God used this video to bless me, and I thank God for using you to help me. Edit: That's crazy, my birthday is on September 11th, I just now found out that is your birthday too, happy belated birthday :)
Brother Paul, today is September 11, so I wish you a happy birthday from California. I am not an adolescent, I am 43 years old, but spiritually I am about a year old. A year ago, after struggling for years being part of a pentecostal/charismatic church, I came across your sermon " regeneration vs. the idolatry of decisionism". Since then, God has used your sermons not only to lead me towards reformed theology, but also to reveal the beauty and truths of our Lord, and share the true Gospel with people according to scripture, not the "sinners" prayer. Thank you for your labor, I partner with Heart Cry both financially and in prayer. May the Lord bless you and your family, and again Happy birthday my dear brother.
amen I have been in the exact same situation and saw the exact same video. Thank God for his mercy upon preachers like Pastor Paul, who has been an incredible blessing to so many of us!
You mentioned that those that are strong, smart, and have resources should help the ones that don't and are maybe weak in those areas, so my question is what are you to do if you lack in those areas, are you to rely on the strong and smart and the ones that have resources? -Germain Reimer age 15 La Crete, alberta, canada
Hello. I'm a year late🤣 but I'll try to answer your question. I think it depends on the anger. Ask yourself, maybe, why am I angry? Jesus says that whoever is angry at his brother without cause has murdered his brother and is subject to judgment (Matthew 5:22). Brother Paul quotes Scripture that says we should strive to keep the peace (Romans 12). Romans 12 also says that vengeance is of the Lord and we should win evil with good. Please look into the following verses of Scripture, that could maybe help you: - Proverbs 15:1 - Romans 12: 17-21 - Ephesians 4:26-32 - James 1: 19-21 I think it depends on the anger. We should examine ourselves and ask: Why am I angry? The Scriptures are clear in the fact that we should promote peace, when possible.
I'm almost a senior citizen & find this applies to me as much as to kids. I can't tell you what a blessings these lessons have been in my life.
Thank you brother Paul, the opening with sincere prayer
opens our eyes to behold the beauty of God through Proverbs.
Thank you Bro. Paul. "Where much is given, much is required."...
Exactly what we need for our generation.Thank you Brother Paul! Praise God.
Thank you Ps Paul, hank you for reminding to love our neighbours, cos that is in the will of God.
Praise the Lord.
I am from Karnataka, India.

Q&A: Can I evangelize someone with the book of Proverbs?
Hi Naomi! This question is addressed in Lesson 68.
