- Here's my arrangement of Shania Twain's late '90s ballad. Tuning is DADGBE. Score/tab available through my site shaunmurray co uk. I'm using my iRig Acoustic Stage mic system on my Washburn, which I love. I mixed in a little of the regular pick up (about 30%) but it's mainly the iRig which I found gave it a much truer acoustic guitar sound.

Very nice arrangement. Great job.
Nathan Medina thanks Nathan, appreciate that 🙂
Spot on Shaun! Very nice indeed. Interesting that you opted to arrange this in an altered tuning rather than standard tuning that you usually play in. I guess it's all about that "D" bass note. Very nice arrangement. I hope you had a nice Christmas and New Years. Cheers from Canada!
Hello Todd! Thanks for watching and for the generous comment - yes, in the key of D it's nice to have that depth on the D chord. Shania is of course from Canada (Ontario I think?). I hope you and Wendy are well - I'll let Ashleigh know we've connected. She's still in Whistler working at the Fairmont - residency has pretty much been secured now, just waiting for the final admin processes to be concluded. It was a long and expensive process but she's there!
Que lindo!!!
Thanks friend :-)
You're amazing!
I just found this comment! Thanks and I'm happy you like my stuff :-)

👌👌👏👏👏
ITA CEB wow thank you 😀
Looks like we made it...
Hi there. It sounds nice. Only a simple technical question:
Instead of the Acoustic Stage could you use the iRig directly to an external preamp (or pedal effect with preamp included) ?
Thank you
Thanks so much Alessandro.. yes it would work in a pre amp but I think the quality of it is that it reproduces the sound of an acoustic guitar in a pure way so there's a danger the purity of the sound might be compromised. I have to confess I'm not a gear junkie so I don't know too much but I think there are pre amps designed specifically to enhance acoustic guitar frequencies in this set up so it may work great

In fact I'm checking their functions. 👍

Hi Shaun! So how do you connect the chords to get a mixed sound? I just got an iRig. Also what amp are you playing out of? sounds great!
Connecting the chords is really a result of combining the melody line with elements of the chords beneath it, so knowing something about theory, bass lines and chord inversions I suppose is important. It's really like doing a complete version of the song instrumentally, making it like a piece arranged for classical guitar. There are loads of fine arrangers on here, I'm sure you've found many of them :-) ... The amp is a small p. a. - it's a Fender passport, with two small speakers. I use it for wedding gigs and small restaurants, bars etc. It's not all that loud so it's not ideal for outside gigs or bigger venues but the tone is absolutely lovely. My set up in this video is Washburn C64E guitar fitted with Matrix infinity transducer (the factory pick-up on the Washburn wasn't great). The iRig on normal nylon guitar setting, and into the passport p.a. ..Thanks so much for commenting and I'm pleased you enjoyed it
@@ironmonger100 thanks so much! Oh I meant the chord cables. Thank you for the information! I'll figure it out! Thank you.
