    WHAT IS TALK HEATHEN?
Talk Heathen is a weekly call-in television show in Austin, Texas geared toward long-form and on-going dialogue with theists & atheists about religion, theism, & secularism. Talk Heathen is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin.
Talk Heathen is filmed in front of a live studio audience every week at the Freethought Library of the Atheist Community of Austin.
The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop & support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing & friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of government-religion separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists & to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.
We define atheism as the lack of belief in gods. This definition also encompasses what most people call agnosticism.

Inclusive can't mean exclusive, so don't worry about it. Diversity needs broad participation and if your skills are useful then go offer them, but make sure you get accomodation for yourself and fair compensation no matter what the job.

I work for a company that is very, very cis/hetero in terms of both management and employees. They’re trying hard to change that and get diversity into the workplace. I’m both a member of the LGBTQ+ community and disabled, and I’ve been afraid that I’m being held up as "proof" that they’ve got a diverse workforce, when I feel completely alone as the one and only out gay person. I feel like my presence is keeping other queer people from getting hired. So I guess feeling guilt over taking jobs away from the LGBTQ+ community comes from all angles…

Work for yourself. That way you're in the market place and you'll earn what you're worth!

Don't feel bad for getting a job with accomodations that you also need. Being able bodied is a priviledge too. A well passing trans person may have much less problems in non-supportive work than you with your invisible disability. And mayority of people applying are probably cis anyway, so it's not like a trans person is guaranteed to get the job unless you apply.

Inclusion very much includes those with disabilities too, so the caller has nothing to worry about to start.
