      Lando’s post race interview disappointed me more than any of his mistakes on track today. It’s important to keep your head down and learn after days like these, that’s how you start to grow into a championship driver. Did you start watching F1 this season? F1 championships are not always decided at the end of the season. It's not always a fabricated Netflix drama. If you love the sport, love the sport for what it is. Look into the little detail, the engineering, the teamwork, driver's talent, etc. There's a lot going on.

    Everyone with a heart for F1 racing will unanimously admit they witnessed one of the most legendary performances of an F1 driver in the history of the sport, which was elevated by the fact that it came from a win from P17 after a questionable red flag in Q2, a grid penalty and the flack Verstappen has been getting in general, and his championship rival friend who started from pole. Even if you root for other drivers or teams, there’s no denying the sheer brilliance of it all. It was real life Drive to Survive and it doesn’t get better than this. 👑

      We had to wait 8 years to see a drive like this. And 8 years ago it was also Verstappen, and it was also at the same track at Interlagos, and it was also in the rain. But back then Max was still considered to be a rookie. If you can try to watch that race. It was the 2016 season. He did not win that race, but what happened and what he did was still amazing.

    Max will be champion The minute Max passed Piastri with absolutely no defense from Oscar has convinced me. From McLarens poor decisions since they became the favorites, like their error in Italy, Mishandling Landos chances at getting well needed points, and Lando himself consistently making mistakes on track. Lando isn't driving like a championship driver. This was a race to gain significant points on Max and what happens is Max basically wins the race he should not have won. Max just steamrolled his way to this year's championship. Well Done. 🏆

  • @insAneTunA
    @insAneTunA 18 днів тому +8

    Today Max also broke the long standing record from Michael Schumacher for the longest consecutive lead in the WDC. It is not a huge thing, but all those records that he sets add up, and it does say something about the unique quality from a driver. These type of records are not broken by every generation of drivers. Last week I said that he made the wrong bet by the way that he drove, today I witnessed a historical race from the same man. I still had the 2016 Interlagos race fresh in my mind, so I knew that there was the possibility for something special in these wet conditions, but I never ever could have imagined that it would end up in this absolute Masterclass. Quite frankly I had trouble with controlling my tears, and I never had that issue before. What a great way to silence his critics, especially the very disgraceful British media. (the sky gang).

    Rain is the great equalizer. Engine power and aerodynamics take a backseat and raw talent takes over.
    Esteban, Pierre and Max practiced extensively in the rain instead of sitting it out in the cafeteria or camper.
    They went out, rain or shine. And now it paid off leaving all the faster cars behind.
