Cheers, y'all! - Whiskey Barrel Pub Ale

- A barrel-aged beer is a beer that has been aged for a period of time in a wooden barrel. Typically, these barrels once housed bourbon, whisky, wine, or, to a lesser extent, brandy, sherry, or port. The first bourbon barrel-aged beers were produced in the United States in the early 1990s.
As a parting gift to our good friend Ross who is moving 1/2 way across the country. I made an English Cask Ale and aged it in an old whiskey barrel for him to serve at his last Dungeons and Dragons campaign before he moves. So, this is DND homebrew on multiple levels.
The only problem is that this isn't a true firkin barrel & I only have a week to do it!

Bye Ross. You have been amazing. Good luck for the future....
I'm sad to see Ross go:( Clawhammer, you guys make consistently great UA-cam videos. Thanks for all the fun Ross!
Ross is one of those guys that you don't even know that well, but you want to be friends with. Good luck, Ross!!
This is true
Yeah man, agreed!
I would love to have a beer with Ross.
awwww man, I'm gonna miss Ross. He's been a hilarious and fun addition to this channel. But, best of luck to him!!
“I knew this was gonna happen but I did it anyway” I think we can all relate to that 🍻
As a former D&D nerd, this is incredible. You're a great friend Kyle.
Bring back the content. We need the content. Please!
Man playing D&D with Ross sounds like an absolute blast. We're gonna miss you homie, good luck in all your endeavors.
Sorry to hear about Ross heading out, but this is an awesome thing to do for him. Would be awesome to try this with a ferkin and a beer engine next time!
Goodbye Ross! You’ve been a great addition to this channel! This is a really nice sendoff!
Man this makes me sad, I binged watched them for about two weeks when I discovered them two years ago. I loved watching them and check in with them every 2-3 months to binge their recent vids. I’m sad that this is all coming to an end. I know Ross is leaving and I do hope that they read this, please continue. Know it won’t be the same without Ross. You have helped me in my home brewing and have given me so much helpful tips and inspiration to try new beers. Know I’m only one person but glad to have found you guys and been able to enjoy the videos when they were coming out.
Damn, I'm gonna miss Ross man.. Maybe yall can mail him future beers and face time with him in future vids..
Ross, you've been an inspiration over the years and I can't thank you enough. I'm so glad that I got to meet you and share some brews out in Asheville. I wish you the best brother!
Roooooosssssssss!!!!! We'll miss you. Best of luck to you going forward!
I hope you gave Ross a Clawhammer system when he left and he can do across country collaborative videos with you.
Oh no! Ross, Dude....
Bloody hell, that Kviek will be done and at the bottom before the Ale yeast has woken up...
I mean it was room temperature, so the Kviek must have felt cold
Ross, you were an awesome member! Stay cool man! Cheers!🍻
Best of luck Ross. Gonna miss you
Good luck, Ross! Great idea on the wooden barrel as a keg.
Going to miss you Ross! Best of luck to you 👍
My favourite clip was when Ross was off camera after swigging 6 belgian triples. Such funny off camera comments compared to how composed he was on camera! Cheers Ross.
Bummed that Ross is moving on, he's always been a great addition to the videos, but I wish him success in whatever his next pursuit is. Hope he comes back from time to time. Nice gesture Kyle, and good luck Ross!
Great you did that for your colleague.
We'll Miss you dearly Ross! Happy for your new journey though! Please come back for some cameos!
Ross is a legend, all the best!
Such a champ for getting that done in a week!
Carbonated or not that would be awesome to drink...glad we could see the tapping...sad to see Ross go, I'm sure he is off to take that glorious beard and continue to brew/drink more beer...cheers man
Gotta fly Ross back for more collabs in future!!!
Aw sad to see Ross go! Hope his move goes well! 😃
What a great thing to send him off with.
To Ross! *raises glass*🍺
Sad to hear Ross is leaving but this is a great send off! 🍻
Awesome. Great video 🔥
Great good bye present. Going to miss Ross on the videos but best of luck!
That’s rad!! Definitely going to miss Ross!!!
Sad to see Ross go. Great video!
Ross will be missed!
Wood is naturally antibacterial so a long sanitizer soak isn't really necessary. Love the videos. Good luck Ross sorry to see you go!
Preferred when the name of the video was "D&D Beer" :( haha! Looks nice, thanks Ross for the nice videos!
Awesome video. I've noticed on a couple of your videos you mentioned a double crush. My question is do you just rerun it through the mill? Or do you change anything on it?
Kyle this episode sounded like he had a bit too much taste tests that day and I'm jealous
Gonna miss Rosco!
Nice way to send off Ross
Sorry to see Ross go but great video as always!
Good bye Ross! Fair well you crazy caveman!
Sad for all of us that we aren't going to see Ross, but feel even worse for Kyle and Emmet that you're missing a good dude in Ross.
Nice burnpile glass!
Sad to see Ross go, who’s gonna crush the mush now and just go for it
Did I read that right? Last video??
I swear you were either extremely exhausted in this video or slightly stoned or tipsy I could feel it
Mostly all 3
@Clawhammer Supply great video keep it up 😀
@@ClawhammerSupply 😂
Ross can move but you cannot let me leave the channel! Fort Collins correspondent?
I need me a freakin' firkin! When are Ross 2.0 tryouts?
CH would have that in the bag.
Sucks. I’ll miss Ross. Just seems like a great Dude!
last video? Does this mean with Ross or in general??? Both sounds awfull - but one more than the other
Sounds like they are hitting the brakes on videos based on Emmits comments on The Hoppy Hour. They have a few videos in the chamber from their colab with Still It they will release throughout the year. Sad news indeed!
Oh No... Yall should have a sale on mash and boils....
Couldn't get a compliment on how it did on transit and holding the carbonation?
A very sad day.
Does this mean we're going to get more videos with Rachel? Make it happen.
Nat 20. That's a crit!
wait is this for real the last video? fok
Funny about the barrel anna sanitizing considering people fear plastic. Wood should be worse.
Awww.Bye Ross .
First, great video!
I’m hella mad at you
@@sk8nchill52 Lmao why?
@@lordnecrorder8476 oh you were first comment and I wanted it
@@sk8nchill52 let me live, it's the first time for me
@@lordnecrorder8476 gah fine
I've been a cellarman for real ale cellars in the past. Watching your man "tap" this beer made me cringe. Nice idea though. My D&D group also own a pub and micro-brewery. We spend more time on it than the campaign 🤣
Had to do it that way. We did some tests and Ross def would have blasted that keystone right in! Couldn’t get quite the right hole saw size, unfortunately.
@@ClawhammerSupply I guess sometimes for a really hard bang, you need the hole to be nice and tight
You are not supposed to use starsan on wood.
