I'm so glad you brought up the native story of the thundereggs. There is a petroglyph in Central Oregon that depicts one of the gods with thundereggs flying through the air behind it. The park has a sign for the petroglyph that states that nobody knows what is depicted though every rockhound I've spoken to that has seen it has a good laugh with me about that. Oregon has beautiful thundereggs and my new home in KY has an abundance of crystal lined geodes. Nature is magic. Thank you so much for the great videos.
The best one was most definitely the one that looked like mountains with little trees on and stormy clouds... Can't wait to see that one polished up 👍💕💕💕

I have lived in Oregon my entire life 50+ years, rockhounding everywhere. I have researched why some thunder eggs grow in a star pattern and still the answer (even from the local university and gem clubs) is.... no one really knows why! In one particular area we have/had gem quality opal inside of rhyolite thunder eggs. I watch your channel all the time. Best videos on UA-cam for sure!

I know right, even with the growth of agates, no on really can say for certain how it happens. There’s theories and stuff but not definite proof. I kinda reckon that makes them even more awesome right 😁👍
Aren't they beautiful! I have to confess that I have a problem in retaining information. I can read about various rocks & understand there formations, how they come about to be. But if I tried to explain to someone about it, I just can't. I don't know why. Anyway I've had a great love for stones since I was little. You find them. Cut & polish them. Sometimes some are so beautiful as they are. Thank you for showing these glorious thunder eggs. They speak for themselves. Simply beautiful! Can't wait for the next episode! Love & peace.

The one that you said, "looks like a map", and then flipped it up, had a clear satellite view of Italy!!! 10:21 Thanks for the video, mate. I have to close my eyes when you cut those eggs in half with your fingers so close to the blade, but I love the result!

Love the cuts on the last couple or so thunder eggs cut into rectangles; the first one really does look like it is a mountian range scene, and the other easily looks like a small portion of a really nice map or globe!
Makes me wonder if the rocks can be cut in spheres. I don't know anything about cutting rocks, just wondering. Learning about geology and how rocks were formed has always been interesting to me.
I appreciate that you mentioned not wanting to share too much about how thunder eggs are formed, because you're in the midst of absorbing the info yourself, and you don't want to teach the material incorrectly. That shows respect for yourself and your audience! Bravo, stay curious, keep learning!
Watched the video again, also love the one that looks like a lake with a deep bowl on the left side and ice forming all around the lake edges. It's like a tiny world trapped inside the rock.

I live in Washington state and have travelled all over Washington and most of Central Oregon for Thundereggs over the past 10 years and many other gems and minerals.
You have some amazing ones there.
I would love to trade and send you some of what we have found and cut open from over here in the states.
I travelled to Kentucky a few months ago and pulled out a 48 lb T-egg, but couldn’t find anyone to cut it open for me. It is currently being watched over by my best friend until she can find someone to cut it or she rolls her 20’ saw out of storage. I was too cheap to pay $150.00 to ship it home without knowing how it looked inside and it wouldn’t fit in my luggage. 🤣
I LOVE all rocks and minerals, including Fossils.
I forgot to add that we have fluorescent T-eggs that glow , fluores, green when under a UV light. You should try using a UV light and black light to some of your T-eggs to see if any fluores.

The green is native in your area, as I mentioned before those minerals are in your area, the question is can you track the back to the source, it will be more concentrated further upstream, but where.

Hi Jesse, thanks for all your videos, ive been watching for a while but haven’t piped up to say how much I appreciate your content. I borrowed a buddy’s wet saw this weekend and your tips/ advice made me confident enough to cut open some agates I’ve been collecting all year- (especially your tip that “a continuous blade can’t cut you”!). I ended up with a few really pretty slices, thank you for showing me how to do it!

Very captivating beauties those thundereggs ya got sliced and polished up nice! So aesthetically pleasing. The creams, whites, greens grays and the deep red awww man! It's easy to get lost in those patterns and think how they formed and all the different minerals interacting with one another to give us different colors and shapes. Its funny that you posted this right about when I started polishing mine. The tile saw is running late...and between the time I ordered it and now I managed to pass my drivers exam, get a license and get a car. Working on a bunch of chalcedony, among other things

I have stones that are ugly as all get out, they are sooooo ugly.......but are so beautiful inside 😍. I'll tell you what kind they are....
they are......fire agates. Look them up. And you will see the beauty inside.

Awsome vid mate, i went to a place called Mount Hay thunder egg tourist park last week while on holidays and collected some amazing thunder eggs and rainforest jasper. Totally recommend stopping in if your ever up that way (Rockhampton)

Those 2 pieces at the end looked AWESOME!! I think they may turn out more beautiful than the other eggs you cut . At first when you said you mite cut or breakup the giant one I was like OH NO !! But after seeing those 2 you cut at the end , I would probably try to cut a few more pieces. I am glad I don’t have to make the decision!! Lol !
