I fish 130s because the style of fishing i do. The extra capacity matters. Reel specs are done at full spool. you drop the 80 and 130 both 600 yards with the same line the 130 will get it in easier and faster because the spool diameter on the 80 will have gotten so much smaller. Depending where i fish i respool my reel for the area if needed. Areas with break offs and bite offs ill spool like 300yds of top shot and just fish top shot so like 40% mono and 60% braid and ill have around 1000 yards total. But if im bombing baits deep and break offs aren't an issue I spool my reel with like 90% braid and 10% mono and get like 1600 yards or more. Most fish swim in on the deep drop baits. For general fishing I fish my reels like yours like around 75 or 80% braid. Liked the video, about midway through i was thinking if they are the same size i got to get new 130s.
very true! always spool your reel according to the area you fish! We have heard in the past the old schools are almost the same size in line capacity so we figured this would tell all for sure haha. Not Quiet!
Based on the specs I've seen, the first gen 80w international that I got, the international has the same 80 lb mono line cap as the old international from what I've seen on the line cap
For the moment we are putting our trust in an eBay braid called "Ashconfish" it has been great on many many big fish, living up to our expectations! 16 strand hollowcore has been great to us
we are trying out some new braid from ebay called AshConfish. Came by recommendation from Terra Firma Tackle! It has gone great! Mako, Dusky sharks, sandbars, and some more surprises yall will seen soon!

Are you team TIAGRA or team INTERNATIONAL? I like the Tiagras
you can get that old penn 2 speeded
For sure! We won't do that as we have a few newer reels coming in and plans to retire the old penn soon!
