I'm of Latino, African and Native American descent. I have been a musician for over 50 years and I'm sorry but that's actually a racist comment. It's not who she is, where she's from or what she's playing. It's when she played those traditional instruments in an untraditional way that people noticed. Do you listen to Latino music,l (and I'm talking true Latin. As in the Romans who created the language and yes also the Hispanics who think their Latinos music) African music and Native American music on a regular basis? I doubt it.
I have been a fan of Nini music since her channel started. I was so emotionally touched she got the reaction she deserved. I'm so happy for her! I love how she introduced her Homeland song too!

Fact check: I feel bad for you. I am a guitarist and i can confirm that she has no actual talent!! She just double picked, button mashed, and missed like every single notes didnt flow together.

I think the nicest thing about AGT is that they manage to fill a huge studio with people who seem to actually want the best for the contestants. With so much judgmental negativity everywhere you turn..it’s just nice to see a room full of people enthusiastically cheering for people they don’t even know.

That's not really traditional attire - or if it is it might be inspired by one smaller people group/tribe. But there is actually a movement in China to bring back traditional Chinese clothing. A lot of young people join in. Traditional attire is called "hanfu". There are shorts/tiktoks of people wearing it around. It is really beautiful.
@@AdeleiTeillanaI believe in the early 1900's it was banned as China "modernized" then that carried on after the communist revolution until fairly recently. I read some older Chinese would even mistake them for the Kimono early on. I know there is some controversy about the Hanfu vs the Korean Hanbok
@@andjkh I'm not really sure what you're talking about. In the early 1900s and in the few centuries prior to that, it was actually the Qing dynasty fashion that predominated. The Qing dynasty and the ruling class were from Manchuria. During the several hundred years of that dynasty, fashion was traded between the Manchu and Han peoples, but they also at times forced the Han people to adopt the Manchu fashion, such as forcing men to adopt the queue hairstyle, which was when they shaved the front of their heads and braided the remaining hair into one long braid. This was not always appreciated by the Han people as it was seen to be a way of repressing them (especially the men's hairstyle which was considered a humiliation.) The dresses they wore during the late Qing dynasty eventually developed into the more modern Qipao commonly associated with China of the 1920s. You can see elements of the Qing dynasty fashion in the simple uniforms worn during the Mao era as well.
The current fashion trend for Hanfu is hearkening back to the dynasties prior to the Qing dynasty, when the Han people were able to freely wear their own traditional clothing - hence the name "hanfu" (literally "Han clothing").

This was so much fun. I discovered Nini on UA-cam last year and quickly became a fan, and attended as many of her live streams as I could. To see her on AGT and get the praise she deserved was so satisfying. No matter how far she goes in AGT, doors have now been opened.
She's better without AGT but still it's great she had change to perform there, so many people saw and heard NiNi there first time = New fans! 😊
She can win this show. Her act draws you in, slowly. Then she just explodes. Unreal!!! This was a masterpiece

I discovered her through that show and got to meet her there, but I did not realize she had such an online following and was on AGT. I’m amazed!!! Terrific performance, reminds me of Herman Li from Dragonforce, but obviously Herman doesn't wear dresses. Also, if you did like this you'll like The Hu Band. Mongolian, traditional instruments and heavy metal. Their first video on youtube Wolf Totem blew up big time.

Outstanding nini
I kept seeing the ad on TV featuring Nini (didn’t realize it was her at first). I have been subscribed to her for a while but not actively watching her content. I personally like traditional instruments. A lot of modern instruments tend to fall into sounding the same as each other and get boring in my opinion. It is cool seeing people you do follow online going on big TV shows though.
It is kind of dumb no one seemed interested in the beginning with the more traditional music but then freaked out over more modern stuff.
I overall feel AGT has some really good talents but also pass on some amazing ones because they don’t fit into certain categories. I tend to just watch the unique/weird stuff and none of the music or singing.
