Great video with lots of ideas, thank you. My suggestions are (1) a tiny square mirror. It's flat and you can find them on old tiles, ceramics and mirror balls. Useful for the plainly obvious and to signal. (2) A small neodymium magnet, folded into cellotape that you can use to retrieve things. (3) a piece of magnetic tape, you can find on office calendar boards to hold tiny objects like glasses screws in one place and within the tin. (4) A flat lollipop stick - with all kinds of uses. (5) a piece of hard plastic straw tube, like on a WD40 or compressed air can.

I like how you are not annoying. Many edc/preppkiters talk overanimated. You say your stuff simple, but not plain or emotionless. I enjoyed listening (and watching).

Not a bad kit at all. I can't think of anything you should have that isn't already in there. And if you like TheUrbanPrepper's kits, you should check out MeZillch, if you haven't already. That man is a GENIUS when it comes to micro kits.

One of the best uses of space in an Altoids tin I've seen. And with practical everyday items. Good job.

I cut my duct tape down the middle to make it half the width which turns 2 ft and 4 ft and I very rarely have needed that wide piece of tape. It makes it closer to the size of electrical tape. I also use gorilla tape because it's unbelievably strong and can always get the job done

The spare house key is a very clever idea

As far as lighters go, don't spend a lot of money trying to find something better than a Mini Bic. Liquid fuel lighters leak and dry up, and refillable lighters need to be bled to properly accept a refill, and even then I don't find that they last as long as a Mini Bic. It's a great lighter that works every time. I keep one as a back up in my EDC pack for when my main pipe lighter runs out.

Worth watching just for the tip about the key. Duh. Why didn't I think of that?? I once got locked out, and it was a nightmare! This is good thinking, Batman. And Victorinox Swiss Army Knife is the BEST pocket knife and multi-tool. Good choice!

Very nice edc! Cool idea with those pockets. I would add some zip ties. :)

Great kit with minimal expense. Just an FYI, there is a hole in the scale of your SAK under the philips to keep a straight pin. Also, in my opinion, I would keep the SAK in my pocket and use the space for a Gerber dime or Leatherman micra.

Great kit - very practical. I suggest getting a Ferro rod that fits in the SAK toothpick slot. They’re pretty cool. Called Firefly from Tortoise Survival and Outdoor Gear. Great for camping.

Enjoyed the video. We keep an eyeglass repair kit, including screws, in the glove box of each family vehicle. They are needed so rarely that they don't deserve pocket space.
How will you carry your Altoids kit in the hot summer months?
    Thanks for posting.

Hi Bob, thanks for taking the time to comment. I actually have a purse (murse, manbag, call-it-what-you-will) with a small front pocket perfectly sized for this tin.

    Hi Brian.
What was the "flat pack" at the top of the lid made from? Would a plastic credit card holder from a wallet fit or would that be too wide? What about Emergency Contact List in case cell phone is not working?

I have to say: a random Allen wrench that you can't say what purpose it might serve (emergency furniture construction ?) BUT NO IMMODIUM! I can surely tell you what emergency might come up where that could be useful. Why oh why does everyone think that they will need to build a fire or open a can of beans more than deal with the effect of said beans?

Carrying around stuff for others is not a prepper---thats called a SHERPA----when someone asks for a knife etc----i just shake my head and say sheeple--if tthey want things---then have them carry that stuff---only offer it if its advantage to you---if not there using you as a crutch
By default- you got a few things right---guitar picks are very flammable---so can start fire easy----no super glue?? nail clippers be good
I did like your fiver---plus the way you did your matches....pencil---the original write all----crayon is usefull too as candle and writing
