Pro bikes aren't that far off from a stock bike. They have lots of extras and lots of mods but to build an exact pro replica yourself with the full DLC internal coated/kashima external coated A kit suspension front and back, cnc ported head, tumbled transmission, mapping, pipe, high comp piston, cam, flat face valves and the works you're looking at about $23,000
@@MotoBuilds $23k for normal people to build a replica based on looks alone. But once you start building an actual factory bike, it would be well over $70k. They have so many one off parts, unobtainable parts that we can’t buy, the technology they use for monitoring their bike, etc. Transworld tests Sean Hamblins’ bike back in 04 I think it was. That Rm250 was around $60k back then to produce for him.
@@laney421 I'm just talking about being able to build a bike that would perform like a factory bike. A kit suspension and the other engine internals and mapping I mentioned obviously aren't for looks. One off parts and things you "cant buy" and teams monitoring equipment obviously cant be included unless you have the means make them yourself. If you have a bike with 27k put into it, putting another 45k into it isnt going to turn a vet weekend rider into a top pro, returns become diminishing after 30k for sure. But I digress, we are splitting hairs here.
@@MotoBuilds I only responded with what I said because to “build an exact pro replica” for $23k as you said isn’t actually feasible. A true exact replica would have the monitoring equipment and all of the one off parts. That’s what makes the factory bikes so interesting and special. But I agree with you now that you’ve clarified that you were talking to build a bike able to compete with a factory bike. Definitely possible for $23k. But the harsh truth is, just the A-kit suspension is going to run between $8k-$10k roughly. And even with that price, you and I couldn’t even get the exact stuff the factory teams run. Which is ridiculous. (P.S. I wasn’t trying to argue or anything. 😂)
So did your dealership keep the original buyer's deposit ... was it non-refundable? If so, is the dealer going to rebate or discount the bike by the deposit amount? I'm calling B.S. I would walk away from this salesman almost as soon as he opened his mouth. Based on the features he points out, he clearly knows very little about this bike or he is dancing around the latest reviews. Truth be told, it hasn't been that well received. Yes, it's a nice bike ... but it's not without it's cons. As almost all new models do, this 2021 needs refinement to improve handling characteristics and power delivery on top just to name a few. Don't be fooled by this guy's hype.
Non-refundable, customer was from out of state and ended up finding one closer. Definitely didn’t get into the minute details as there are way better videos out there for that. Sucks you’d just walk away from me, I’m a pretty swell guy. Thanks for watching!

Awesome bike boss but we all know this bike is nowhere near what Ken Roczen is racing. If it was the price would be around 70,000

The 21 is all new, but unfortunately is a step backwards from the 2020s.
