This ship has come a long since Viet Nam so sophisticated it's so unreal.

But even during Vietnam it was considered high-tech/state of the art. One of the first combat aircraft to employ FLIR and low-light TV.

Yep I'm ex British army and we always forget the importance of our air force these guys are as much hero's as any ground based unit they fly in and save our asses multiple times I love hearing stories about the American 160th s.o.a.r those guys are pros anyway godbless our king our country and our people serving us each and every day biiiiig thanks to you all for your service

It’s the tactics employed that makes a difference. The concept of a gunship is a proven entity whether against a sophisticated foe or insurgent ones.
gunships absolutely do not work against sophisticated enemies. Sophisticated enemies have their air defense and stealth fighters shoot down the gunship before it even gets close enough to fire a single shot.
Против какого врага такая техника? В условиях современного конфликта он даже не долетит до цели.

Unfortunately this aircraft works only against lower tech countrys in perfect conditions. Never the less it's interesting machine.
Not true, gunships have proven effectiveness in all kinds of applications. Against a modern foe, air superiority would allow highly effective use of gunships.

The US depends too heavily on technology. Which is most often down for malfunctions and repairs. The F22 fighters, at any given time, usually has approx 42% of them grounded for various reasons. In real world scenarios a vast majority of the technology will be useless. Plus, personnel competency will continue to decline. And be harder to recruit competent people to operate sophisticated equipment. We know how WWIII will be fought. WWIV will be fought with sticks and stones.
Keep believing that… having been AD, this is wrong. The personnel rise to the occasion…

그 미사일 ac130 건쉽도 쏠 수 있고, 애초에 건쉽의 목적은 적 차량무력화, 적 부대산개 및 교란, 건물 정밀포격 등이다.
훈련이 아닌 실제 투입시엔 고고도 관측드론, 호위목적 전투기, ac130, 전투기 급유용 c130 등이 동시출격한다.
얘네들만 단독출격 하느냐? 육군에서도 당연히 공격헬기 및 a10, 지상군 등을 함께 출격시키지.
적 미사일 올 게 두려워서 병력을 놀린다? 그럴거면 무기는 왜 만들고 전쟁은 왜 하냐? 애시당초 미사일 방어체계 사드도 미국에서 운용중인 시스템이고, 땅덩어리 좁은 한반도에서도 한국형 3축체계로 적 미사일 발사에 대한 대비를 하는데?
뇌가 있고 군필이라면 미사일 1발보다 105mm 고폭탄이나 백린탄 상공정밀포격이 더 효용성 있다는걸 알텐데~

30 years ago ppl said those of us that predicted computer assisted or computer warfare told us to put the bong down. Seems to me I.C. run equipment is conducting warfare operations.......
