One correction from the video. It said the throttle is located in the center so both pilots can use. Actually, B-1 is set up like a fighter. There is another set of throttles on the left of the pilot. So both pilot and co-pilot fly with the Right hand and control the throttle with their Left.
3:31 variable swept-wing changes the wing sweep angle, not the angle of attack.
Several decades ago, a friend of mine in the Air Force flew on a B1 bomber. He loved it! The Bone can fly supersonic right off the deck and strike anything, anywhere on the planet.
Những kỷ sư chế tạo sản xuất máy bay có chỉ số IQ quá đỉnh 👍👍👍
Either way Im very very proud of our Military and love watching these videos
B1 je prekrasan avion, najstariji a najljepši ❤
Huge jet fighter...impressive! EUA is a powerful nation...Hugs from Brazil!!🇧🇷🇺🇲
There’s two sets of throttles, center is for right seat, the pilots is on then left side panel.
THANK YOU SOMEONE WHO WEARS THEIR WATCH ON THEIR RIGHT ARM
I also wear it on the right arm
One correction from the video. It said the Lancer is a variable swept-wing bomber, which means it can change the angle of attack of its wings. Acutally, it should be the sweep angle of its wings correspondingly that are changed.
Miss working on aircrafts! Our crew used to test turbine engines and install them on the aircraft. To bad the job didn’t last that long after 9/11 🙁 Great video 👍
Great video , lots of good information!
Outstanding😊
Almost! The original name BUFF had no words resembling Fellow in iy!
Amazing
A beautiful aircraft.
I saw the front, and as a spoiled 4th/5th gen fighter simmer, was appaled at the lack of glass. Then saw the backseat was basically Max Headroom, the MOS, and was soothed.
... I gaze absorbed at this cockpit of the B1, likewise the one of the B52, I am ecstatic... I love complex cockpits... it is for me like visually enjoying the naked body of Miss Universe...Wow... What a great delight, even more so for those who fly it... a hug for everyone, greetings from Colombia and... good winds...👍 👍 👍 ...

amazing😲
4 b1 bombers flew from dyess texas to fairford were I live in ukwok me up at 4 in the morning setting alarms off everywhere
USA air force no country can match it 👍 god bless USA and NATO 🇺🇸
Merci
Awesome jet. People don't realize planes, especially effective, well maintained and reliable military aircraft don't age like cars do. There are actually many benefits to much of the mechanical instrumentation as it is a lot more resistant to electronic warfare or EMPs. Reliability is key. Relying purely on a few fancy LCD screens and losing all instrumentation because of an EMP or battery/electrical issues is a risk the USAF can't afford. This is a big reason why the military still uses B-52s and B-1s because they not only still get the job done but replacing them would take a very long time and would cost enormous sums of money. Not to mention the new designs will have numerous teething issues, sometimes as long as a decade from first flight (think F-22 and F-35) before being truly front line combat ready. Old is gold when it comes to strategic bombers in particular.
China and Russia's strategic bomber backbones are decades old as well. Just military reality that if something works, and works well, it's entirely counterproductive to replace it with an unknown quantity. Especially such an important part of the nuclear triad. Plus these jets are constantly upgraded "under the hood" and their functions are cutting edge and state of the art despite the presence of many mechanical instruments that people get stuck on looking at. Can't judge a book by its cover. It's the contents that matter. The fact that the B-52s will be flying until the 2040s-2050s is a testament to designers, engineers and airmen that keep them flying. These jets are more important than ever in a new era of so called "great power conflict". The pentagon's new favorite phrase. Long live the bone!
El veterano Lancer aun hace su trabajo y muy muy bien ,,,,,para los enemigos alla abajo eso no es bueno !!! ✈😁✈😁✈😁✈😎✈😎👏😎👏😁😎👍
I'm pretty sure the last "F" in BUFF for the B-52, doesn't mean "Fellow".
you would be correct.🤫
***I LOVE B - 52***

06:22, what is the small pod on the left between the two engines pods?
LITENING targeting pod if I were to guess.
Why the headline regarding the B1B when the bulk of the video is about the B-52 and cargo planes and air refueling? There are thousands of videos on air refueling, planes taking off, landing and arming. 😅 Do we need more of the same? I guess it’s good for recruiting.

Slight correction: "Fellow" is not the ACTUAL word used in BUFF 😂
Is this a secret aircraft possibly invisible ?
Como funcina o sistema de defesa dessa auronave
Also you need to know FORTRAN and COBOL to keep the software going….OMG
No, JOVIAL, an ALGOL 58 derivative.
Nobody really calls it the Lancer, it is the BONE
A whole lot of people call it the lancer actually
When will they upgrade the engines to be faster.
The C17 is operated by multiple air forces INCLUDING the U.S., not EXCLUDING, per your closed caption narrative.
The 15E Eagle is still operating.
If Globe master is Abraham Brian L. If I'm LAX.. Thank You
I see lots of pilots with mustache, does it perform something specified during flying?
No, just big fans of Goose from Top Gun😅
It’s a tradition going back to the Vietnam war
Just goes with those big balls !

I’ve worked on every b1 b in the active fleet pretty crazy to include this one here and I can say sitting on the ground the are nasty leak like a fork being used to eat soup but there is nothing like standing next to a b1 taking off especially when they do a hot air space take wheels up full military power blows the blue rings out and is loud like you can only understand if you experienced it

The B-2 is currently the most feared bomber. The B-1 will be retired very quickly when the B-21 reaches full production, and eventually so will the B-2.
Not bad for a country that cant afford to provide a decent healthcare system.
@@harrygibbs9436 what the heck does that have to do with aviation?
@@harrygibbs9436 Still laughing at all the people dying in your "free" socialized medical system that's financed by ridiculously high taxes.
@@JeremyBechtold It has to do with US citizens lacking basic necessities, while the US goes on terrorizing the 3rd world wasting $trillions.

Hi
That's never good when the crew is watching the maintenance folks. That means you're busted and the clock is ticking. I've been there on both sides as a Crew Chief and as a Flight Engineer.
El chico más temido del aeropuerto
Did they have that in Vietnam before they lost that war
👍👍👍👍
* Correction!
At approximately the 3:05 mark, it says the pilots main function is, blah blah blah…when I always thought the pilots ‘main function’ was flying the damn plane. Boy, I have been wrong all of these years.

The bone's variable sweep wings do NOT change the "angle of attack". They change. The "angle of sweep". Two wing geometry considerations only distantly related, like ailerons, elevators, & rudder.
"Fellow" ... 🤭

By the late 80’s the B-1b was already obsolete and considered mostly a one way trip against any near peer enemy. It’s only accomplishments are dropping a massive amount of weapons on terrorists who have little to no anti air, and some combat seen in the first Iraq war (after most of Sadam’s air defenses were defeated)
The B-1 was literally the MOST used bomber in the last several conflicts.

USA's old-style bombers, like B1's (+B52's), are primarily disliked by unarmed peaceful civilians being carpet-bombed indiscriminately by the USA overhead
but nowadays, such old-style bombing over people's heads are out of the question against those with formidable militaries able to defend themselves
forcing USA's bombers to use standoff weapons, such as subsonic cruise missiles launched from faraway from the targeted location instead, so, avoiding deep penetration of enemy territory, for fear of such bombers being shot down out of the skies
Yes, but "formidable" militaries will also be able to launch saturated attacks at the Bomber airfields, using their own cruise missiles.

''Most feared'' Yeah okay. Nice drama.
this old crap (B-1) is the US most feared bomber?
Well, they were doing bombing runs in Afghanistan flying straight from South Dakota and then back, so they have a hell of a reach. They also have the greatest load capacity.
@@Nerval-kg9sm They did not.
Typical cowardly evil act.
