Hi mate , when you are connecting the wires do you have to twist them together or do you have to solder them? Or do you just connect it using that blue pipe?

You failed to mention that live and earth wires are usually the burnt out terminals, on new resistor they are both split over 2 terminals. So repair you just did will burn out again. Do it right first time. ( Current Renault Master Tech)

Please could you describe what would be the correct way to rewire the new plug? Presumably matching the configuration of the old plug, but what else?

I can see there's 4 green wires that are not connected. I believe it's 6 wires needed connecting in total. Did you just seal those 4 green wires away?
My existing fan adapter has 6 Resistor wires for Fan
    X2 Yellow
    X1 Green
    X1 Pink
    X1 Orange
    X1 White
    I guess same as yours?
Where did you find and purchase the new adapter? Any link.. Thanking you fir this video. It'll be of great help when I replace it over for new one. My no.4 stopped working. Hopefully it will be an easy enough fix. Cheers again.

Cheers for the video. Did you disconnect the battery before completing the work? And is it adequate to use tape on the cables rather than heat shrinking?

Hi sorry for late reply, yes I did have the battery disconnected but unsure if it’s needed. The heat shrink connectors come with the kit and are easy to use, you can pick up a crimping tool cheap if you don’t have one. If you did a good job of braiding the wires tightly I’d say tape would be enough but make sure they’re fully sealed 👍

Hi, I recently had a similar issue with my clio. The heater first stopped working on 2, then it stopped working on all. I looked at the connector and terminals were melted. I replaced this and the heaters worked. Then a week later the heater stopped again. I then replaced the resistor, now there is a maze of crimps but they all seem solid yet the heaters do not work.
My plan when i next have time is to check the fuse, then to redo all the crimps and tape them secure, then failing that attempt to replace the blower motor. Is there anything else you could suggest?
    Many thanks

If you unplug the damaged one and plug the new one in, then cut each wire one at a time and splice it directly to the corresponding one on the new plug, you should be good. So for example once the plugs are aligned (new one plugged in correct way), if you then cut the top left wire on the old one and split it straight to the top left wire on the new one. If you’ve already cut all the old ones, look at what colour was in top left slot of the actual plug and then splice that to the new one in the same slot. Hope this helps

Clio 3 but he says it's a Clio 2, Which is it? Too dark, so why not get a torch.
