wow!! 😭thank you all for the kind comments and +1k views!! i don't really post on here often so i never expected this to gain any traction! here's a little lore dump on these ocs: hunter (the main guy of this video) is a necromancer who goes through a villain arc of sorts, which tail (his on-and-off bf, someone he's known since childhood) helps him through. at some point, while they're together, tail is killed by someone else, and so hunter villainizes all over again but worse & goes through this whole quest to find a way to be with tail again, experiencing different versions of himself along the way and just getting more and more insane haha... so this video is meant to show how he downspirals pretty much. thanks for stopping by! 🫡
i mean this in the best way possible, but this animation made me sick to my stomach. it just felt so uncomfortable to watch because it felt so *real*. i dont know your character's whole backstory, but the last part with the tone switch truly made my stomach churn. i could see myself in this character which doesnt often happen in short animations like these. the ghost/ memory of tail whispering "i love you" (im assuming) to hunter which almost grounds him for a moment, only for him to continue spiralling?? ugh. its like he cant stand to remember the past which gets him so frustrated that he stabs their picture together??? oh my GOD. you perfectly captured him mourning tail and chasing after him in different versions of himself. you managed to capture all of this in UNDER 2 MNUTES. thats insane. amazing work. genuinely the best animation ive seen this year.

i felt a similar feeling. i didn’t feel sick to my stomach but my eyes felt like they wanted to throw up, like straight up vomit. especially at the “i don’t want to lose you” that hit hard asf my eyes wanted to explode, not with tears, not because i feel emotional or something, my eyes just wanted to EXPLODE. i didn’t understand what you meant but now i feel it but it’s different. my eyes want to throw up rn

Oh god. Just that millisecond of audio and visual silence after Tail dies, it. It. ugh. It really feels like being crushed with guilt and shame and abject terror in one giant, looming wave. Everything happens so fast in this and you feel every single bit of it. It’s stuff like this that reminds me why I love art.

ive watched this about 10 times over the past two days and ive gotta say this is one of the best mvs ive ever seen. the art, color usage, grain effect and subtle shaking and stuff like that is just so good. you can really see a timeline of events and emotions going through this and it really deserves every bit of attention its receiving. i think my favorite part is the tone shift at 0:47 - the liquidation effect and the overlays of different visuals and all the colors really pull it together. also how later, the heart on the plate switches from red and beating to a duller color was just. mwa ✨ i really wish you could like a video multiple times :,)
Damn, this was amazing. Just... the smoothness alone. But all the effects. The color schemes fitting with the vibe of the music. Neon when crazy and more mild when it talks bout love. Really great stuff here. I might save it in my playlist. Yeah, I think I will.
