I hope they reconsidered bringing a newborn into that relationship. Too many couples seem to think a baby will solve various problems when they compound them exponentially. Plus she's taking medication that as far as I know is not safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding. And what happens during a nighttime emergency if Dad is comatose?
I agree Jalapeño is diametrically different than parsley and if you let them know they might give you a gift card or refund without asking. Good places will do that knowing they did the wrong thing.
I agree with Moshe, if they are not going to get orders correct, then the least you can do is say something. The fact it was labeled as something else is what makes it worse.
Shoutout COTC! Aka "caught on the camera", "corn on the cob" and now thanks to moshe " check on the child" you two really are the gift that keeps on giving and i thank you! 💛 From the sunshine state aka americas droopy dong aka the planets most effective crazy factory: Miami FL 😊😊
Could the caller considering having a baby try having staggered sleep schedules with their partner? If he needs 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep, could those hours be from 9pm-5am? Then, her sleep "shift" could be 12am-8am. That way he can take an early morning feeding.
Natasha "The customer is always right" is a motto or slogan which exhorts service staff to give a high priority to customer satisfaction. It was popularized by pioneering and successful retailers such as Harry Gordon Selfridge, John Wanamaker and Marshall Field.
It's also bs and ultimately doesn't help with customer satisfaction. If something is reasonable and fixable, do it for the customer. If it's not reasonable, oh well. Some customers take advantage.
I'm with Moshe on this one. If they fucked up the order you shouldn't have to pay for it. I'm not sure if it's a grand conspiracy or anything but it wouldn't be out of line to call the restaurant about it (politely of course). Sure restaurants are having a hard time, and you should totally tip well now more than ever, but giving you the wrong thing isn't okay
I majority agree with Natasha. Mosha never thinks he is wrong to being with which is frustrating. However, if your order is wrong call and have them get it right, they’ll either replace it or give your money back. Someone already said a good motto to go by is the “customer is always right” and that is indeed the way to lead. As long as you are kind and state what is wrong you’ll more than likely be over compensated depending on the situation. I’m a firm believer in getting what I paid for.
Hummus debacle: Moshe is right to want his money back. They fucked up and excusing every mistake every business makes for the next year because COVID was hard is ridiculous. However, I also think Moshe is a little paranoid in thinking they're grifting people by selling jalapeno hummus when they don't have it. This was probably just a mistake and yes, you can and should ask for your money back or for the order to be corrected. Most people don't just have money to waste on ordering food to then have it not be what they ordered. From my perspective, most of Natasha's takes, especially when it comes to money, are very out of touch with what people actually think/feel/do.
Feels like it’s time to go back on YMH now that the UA-cam is up so we can get more fans. I think when you original did the podcast tour it was hard to find you so it was as impactful as it would be now.
I feel like the first caller isn't really mother material herself. She doesn't understand or have empathy for her partner and trivialises his mental health issues.
I’m always confused why people who have serious health issues want to bring life into the world. At the very least, adopt! Or foster? It lacks so much logic. People always want their desires verified.
I'm with Moche on this one! Every time I get a pickup grocery order they "substitute" the spicy hummus that I WANT with whatever different one they choose, always claiming they don't have it but if I go into the store and look on the shelf you better believe they have the spicy one!!!! Really grinds my gears hahahaha not all hummuses are created equal you guys!!!!!!!!
To the 1st caller...how about considering adoption and perhaps getting an older child who is less demanding to take of than a newborn. As a parent of 3 the demands, while challenging, do decrease over time...until they become teens...then take whatever he is taking...just saying...
I agree with Moshe - def request a refund on the jalapeno hummous! Natasha, if you ordered an original mid-thigh Biba dress online and a pair of pink joggers with the word sexy patched on the back pocket showed up instead - are you gonna ask for a refund? yes you would.
that's different you can return the product so there is an even exchange with the store, and she would then also buy the right dress. Mosche cannot give the hummus back to the store
Yes, you do make a good point. However, all things being equal, the shop might be going through a challenging financial year too and ask Natasha to pay for the return of the vintage item. Do you pay for the return postage (because they are having a bad year)? Or do you insist the business pay?
@@Afrosukha I'm thinking that it should be up to the company. I'd respect a small business wanting shipping for returns/exchanges to be covered whereas large corporations can afford to pay for return costs and maybe therefore should.
@@Sadie33 I believe the essence of the arguments are 1) consumers are entitled to get what was advertised for sale 2) one must assume that all restaurants are financially struggling and customers should overlook their rights in favour of the business. I believe that the restaurant has broken the contract from the get-go and one cannot assume that the restaurant cannot afford to make good on the deal.
I'm a fan because Natasha is not only fabulous, but hilarious. And Parsley hummus sounds good. Don't throw it away. So wasteful! Why not go back in person with the tub and receipt and ask to exchange it?
Truth, dogs that are racist are because their ancestors were trained to hunt black people during slavery in US. My very close friend had (died yrs ago}a racist dog. When my Hawaiian husband and I would visit, this dog would bark and growl at him. Also, we had a very close black friend who practically lived with them and that dog hated him.
OK, I love the podcast for the reasons Moshe mentioned at the beginning (seemed like a sincere bid for connection w/N). AND it's distressing to see Natasha come back with kinda shitty humor. I'm sure that was a "got you back" moment and that Mosha has probably done that to her many times, too. You teach by behavior/modeling . The same rules apply to every relationship - even if you're also both comics. Have you heard of The Gottman Institute? If not, check it out. I'd sincerely like to see you two stay together.
Men are stepping up more, but there's still a gender gap in the "mental labor" of parenting. A lot of the planning/worrying still falls on women, but nuanced research gives us the words to talk about it. Natasha this article made me think of you: www.nytimes.com/2021/04/21/parenting/women-gender-gap-domestic-work.html
Who do I agree with about the tub'a'hummus situation? Both, but Moshe in the end. I personally wouldn't ask for a refund and align with Natasha's arguments ("let it slide"). But I support Moshe's hummus passions and his need to ask for a refund. If my partner was that passionate about their tub of jalapeño hummus, I would say go follow your "tub of jalapeño hummus dreams'' and get that refund. For some reason I now want to spray paint the phrase "tub of jalapeño hummus refunds," all over my city. Any time I see a scribbled penis, or horribly novice graffiti tag, I'm going to spray paint "tub of jalapeño hummus refunds," right next to it. I blame this podcast if it starts a new conspiracy theory. All being said, I'm putting in my "Moshe vote"...but barely.
I'm sorry I think it's weird that someone would have consideration for a business rather than their husband you ordered extra he deserve to get what you order you definitely deserve a refund !!
These are my favorite hipsters. I wish episodes were longer😔
GET YOUR REFUND ALWAYS.
Sincerely,
Karen
it sounds like the first caller is ALREADY resentful

Been listening to this Podcast while at work on a loop today.! I love it .
I was in the VIP. Thank you both for being sincere. During this pan (and pre-pan) this podcast has kept me sane. Keep doing what you’re doing.
where did they announce it? i wish i knew about it before :(
@@broc4019 I know they posted a thing about it on the podcast ig :)
They’re so great, I love how they always have such stimulating banter
Yes call about the hummus, just be kind and request the correct item.
the secrets were really good on this one
The live ep was amazing. Moshe was on fire.
