Not a spurs fan, but today showed just how important it is to consistently have your core squad available. Liverpool play their B team for one game and lose to a team that is 40 spots lower than them on the football tier. Spurs have played two months with most of their first team out. It's hard to know if their style of football can work because they've barely had their A grade side in. Hopefully for them their chairman invests in 3-4 mid 20s players with some experience, because trying to strike lightning in a bottle with all kids won't work.

Joe Hart is a brilliant pundit already and he's not been doing it long. He was a very welcome breath of fresh air during the euros coverage. I hoped they would keep him on for the domestic season and beyond. Ex goalkeepers usually only get brought in to the studio side of things for goalkeeping analysis but you can tell Joe knows the game inside out, top bloke.

Tottenham simply do not have the squad to play 2 times a week since November with the injury list they have. But that’s old news and doesn’t get clicks or create punditry fodder or laughs for the punters. So there will be more of this until they succeed in getting Ange sacked or the players eventually return and then it will be someone else’s turn.

Look at the players we had vs Liverpool & Aston Villa, they couldn’t be bothered to give their all! Ange is a manager but he can’t manage these players! We had a good team in the last two games, but they play poorly due to how Ange sets them up!
Even when we didn’t have injuries, we were inconsistent. That was what everybody was saying. Tottenham are inconsistent. We beat Aston Villa we beat Man City we beat Man United but then we lose against Crystal Palace and Ipswich. Ange is plan B less. No tactics just stick to the same plan that has not been working! Ange has to go, along with Levy! Get Pochettino back, at least he got us to a Champions League final and a second place finish in the Premier League. All he needed was to be backed financially.
Had Leicester not had that fluke season where they won the Premier League, Tottenham would’ve won it.

I’m a Spurs fan and not the biggest Ange fan but his post match press conference was great. He is keeping his head while all around him are losing theirs. Levy is the blame, end of story, but there isn’t a team on this planet that could lose 11 first team players in 2 1/2 months and be competitive. If that happens to Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, City, United they’re also 15th in the Prem and that’s a fact.
Ange wants to be successful, but at the end of the day, he knows it’s not life or death - if he gets sacked he will eventually get another gig somewhere in another league and he accepts that.

Youre telling me Son, Bentancur, Bissouma, Porro, Kulu, Spence, Sarr, is second team? That doesnt justify bottom table with relegation form. Clubs above them are doing much better with half the quality. Fatigue? Rotate the kids. Tottenham are not winning games anyways, and this is a supposed "rebuild". Joe Hart talking with maturity. He talks with insight, not like a wannabe comedian.
It is a odd team at the moment. A mix of young and old players. The old players are tired and fatigued. The youngsters are fit and able but lack the experience to know what to do. Because the seniors are tired and struggling themselves, they cannot provide the young players the support. We need the senior players back to full fitness and we need them to lead and guide the young players by leadership and example.
And on a side note, i think there were managers prior who got screwed.

Harry R because of the the England manager vacancy that eventually went to Roy H. And after that appointment Harry lost his job.
Poch for never backing him with funds. But when Jose M was appointed, he was given the funds that were severely lacking during Poch managerial career at Spurs.
And everything has been going downhill since Poch exited the club without the funds that was required to continually strengthen the team, season to season. What a shame..
Luckily or ..... They kept on buying younger players for the future. Because these younger players will be the ones that Spurs will need to win promotion from the Championship during the 2025-2026 season, if they are not careful and continue managing Tottenham in the current manner.
Why? Because every team that plays against Tottenham are going to have a positive mindset, "...hey with have a chance to win against them, be it home or away"

If it’s so easy playing with all these young players why did we not have 3 youngsters sitting in these “experts” chairs. Why was the BBC presenter not a 19 year old. Could it be that experience matters and can’t be obtained without a few years at the job. Football is no different to most jobs, experience takes time, things become automatic and faster after doing a job for a time. That’s why younger players can often be great but inconsistent. Having to play so many youngsters for so many games, plus the few senior players we have getting knackered by having to play two games a week for 3 months, was always going to be very difficult. On MOTD Eddie Howe said Newcastle already have two injuries and now they’ve picked up another, it’s going to disrupt the rest of their season, and the same presenter agreed, but apparently 10 or 11 injuries is fine it’s only 3 that’s a problem.

To play Ange’s system you need 2 starting 11’s not 22 players where maybe 12 would be starters by choice. Without that depth his system can’t work and if Levy won’t allow him to bring in that level of quality then they are going to continue struggling

WHY DONT YOU GUYS JUST ACCEPT THE TEAM HAS BEEN INJURY RIDDLED WITH 11 PLAYERS OUT FOR 2 MONTHS AND PLAYING THE SAME PLAYERS 2-3 GAMES PER WEEK. NO TEAM IN THE WORLD WOULD COPE WITH THIS SITUATION. We checked the sprint strength of each team in the Premier League, and Tottenham ranked first with a superior ranking. The cause of the players' injuries was Ange's reckless tactics.
We have to get real here, Ange is hopeless. He has caused this injury issue (the same as he did at Celtic) by not rotating and managing the schedule, and playing such an unstructured system players are doing a ridiculous amount of running and sprint covering leading to hamstring injuries. The guy is clueless and this club cannot progress until he's gone, people forget, we had our worst start in 17 seasons WITH all our players.

Is Ange trying to have Tottenham play a version of Total Football or like Barcelona. If so, then Tottenham don't have the squad for it or their structure is wrong. When you are coaching in the Scottish Premier League or J-League you can get away with some tactical errors whereas in the Premier League you can't. Either the players don't understand what is expected of them or they are not able to play that style of football.

Ange could do worse then bringing Joe in as an assistant and direct support for the squad. As someone who has played at that level and played under Ange and understands Angeball and what's needed. He is exactly the leadership that is missing in the Spurs playing squad right now.

Bournemouth haven’t play every three days since November. It takes its toll.
Bournemouth have played 12 fewer games than Spurs this season. That's 4 fewer league cup games (against Man City, Man Utd, and Liverpool twice) and 8 European games. Bournemouth get a week to rest after every match. Spurs haven't had a week off since November.
