I never get tired of listening to Jimmy! I've watched all of his archery videos multiple times and he is always the guy I refer new trad people to because he explains everything so well...just a great guy !
I’ve known Mr. Blackmon for a few years as we were both in Twin Oaks bowhunters club. A fine gentleman and a fine person. He’s also a great hunter. I tried his gap but never did work for me. A year ago I bought an ILF bow and watched some of his old videos. I compromised with a fixed crawl and I’m shooting better than I ever have. Wold like to see Jimmy again. Good luck man with whatever you do.
I started to watch this expecting to randomly find something that will interest me... And the hour flew by me before I knew it. Great talk and Jimmy is entertaining and charismatic as ever. Priceless for me was his look on traditional vs compound, as he is in archery for a long time enough. Thank You very much, both of you, I enjoyed it very much. Best wishes from me!
Another Excellent interview. 12:50 .... I miss all the time (80%)...and instead of getting Fubar about it (Triggered)...I train myself to laugh at the "Wild Shot" and move forward. When I put an expectation on every shot , to be perfect (Gold ring) and miss , and miss again & again ...I will have my micro melt downs and eventually put down archery and pick up a sling shot..LOL ..till I get myself dialed in. I prefer to shoot alone. When I am shooting around people, my expectations become unbalanced and I loose my center of self. People are too distracting sometimes. Hunting & kill shots , I leave that up to the younger bucks , these days...I enjoy the good company at the hunt camp, in my retired age. 26:24 ... Archery & the DAD BOD (aka Olympic Athletic Physique ) is great. Any age group, any body shape, recovering from injury,....who ever, what ever ....everyone is a champion , with Archery.
The UA-cam Barebow OG! JB was the first person to explain string walking to me in a way that made sense and that did not confuse me. I don’t know if people understand that ten years ago, it was impossible to find a barebow coach or podcast. barebow information wasn’t easily accessible like today. Thank you Jimmy and Mick for sharing great archery people and stories.
