4:05-5:39 is a perfect example of what not to do in urban combat. They drove in tightly packed with armoured vehicles into an urban area, stopped all at once in an intersection instead of spreading out the vics down that road and sending infantry ahead to clear buildings. This culminates in clumped infantry and crammed vehicles moving slowly across open ground of the intersection with the infantry completely abandoning the mobile fire positions on humvee.50 cal turrets. This allowed the infantry to be mowed down in an ambush by a force on top of buildings, the tank and unit commander being sniped thus paralysing the group, and the lead humvee’s destruction halted any potential reinforcements preventing an organised retreat long enough for the enemy to commandeer the Abrahams in the rear. This is literally what the Russian did in Grozny in 1994, being led down narrow roads by Chechen militia to allow for ambushes from elevated covered positions.
The insurgent strategy wasn’t flawless either, with little good use of cover and questionably chosen fire positions (the guy to the left standing next to a wall instead of using it for cover at 4:40 and having two opposite sides of the road fire simultaneously instead of forming an L shape), as well as not targeting the rear of the convoy after the front (firing 2 RPG’s and a T62’s main gun at the lead humvee and nothing at the Abrahams at the rear once it was knocked out). Running the T-62 into the road to block a retreat route is a debateable move as it exposed its side to do so and was damaged as a result but ultimately did prevent the convoy from simply driving through the ambush. Arguably positioning it as a contingency down another road of the intersection to stop the column in case it did try to drive through would have been effective and less risky while still achieving the same goal.
The American’s strategy was to drive right in and dismount to capture an abandoned objective, caring little of or even neglecting to consider the possibility of resistance while the insurgents mounted a slow to act, tunnel visioned ambush that succeeded due to the element of surprise and the seeming inability or unwillingness of the US forces to retreat back the way they came after the destruction of an overly centralised command.

For myself and a lot of kids who really couldn’t afford new games or systems constantly, ROBLOX creators ripping off games and finding ways to make them almost the same but just in roblox both was a godsend and never ceased to amaze me. They never quite did get Minecraft tho.

My first time playing this game I hopped on the back of an American Abrams tank with a few other people.
It was a fully loaded tank with an extra 4 on the back. The whole way to the objective we were goofing off just being and saying dumb things. In that short time I really feel a connection with them. After about 10 minutes we roll down this one street and we are all teabagging at the back of the tank.
A missile fires and slams into the side of our tank and I am suddenly and violently throw from it. My vision gets all red and my audio is all distorted. I start seeing chat flood with text but I ignore it. I here the sound of our tank firing. I get up without being able to see still blind, just hearing muffled gun shots.
My vision comes back to me a little and I can just about make our body’s lying of the floor and our tank smoking. I hear gunshots from everywhere and I slowly start to come to. The tank fires another round back at the enemy’s that I cannot see. one of the guys that survived the blast on low Heath text to me that we need to move. Suddenly a insurgent comes around the tank and shoots him dead and then goes for me. I was saved by another friend that had been on top the tank with me. He shoots the insurgent and kills him.
He starts sprinting off and I follow him. We run into a building nearby ping ourself against the far wall. We can still see our side and that’s when I see in the chat that the tank commander gave the orders to abandon the tank. The each hop out of the tank but are swarmed by about 4 insurgents. Most of them were killed trying to just get out of the tank. The ones that make it out try to run for cover are mowed down by an MG.
I’m sitting in the corner with this guy, deep in enemy territory, low on heath, surrounded by insurgents, and no one coming to save us..
