- Rock critic Zaragon reviews "It's Gonna Be Me" by David Bowie, recorded in 1974 for his unreleased Philly album The Gouster, which morphed into his 1975 release Young Americans, albeit without this song.

Che meravigliaaaaaaaaaaaaa 🎷🎸💖💖💖💖💖🎤 😢😢👍💋💋💋💋💫💫💫💫💫💫💫🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝ti amo DavidBowie per sempre 🌹🌹
Interesting choice - and you used the "strings mix" rather than the more common unstrung mix
...but it's not one of the most fascinating Bowie rarities. And it tends to remind us of the other songs added to the Rykodiscs which either haven't been legitimately available since 2000 (e.g the original of Some Are) or have only had blink-and-miss-it reissues (e.g Sweet Head)
I think the strings do benefit the track. When I hear the without strings version, I just think, where are the strings. It’s good glue.
Ava Cherry was David lover at the time
Love your work. Totally agree on this tune, which I've been hypnotized by since a bootleg 7" 45 I bought in 1980, from one of the Universal Amphitheater performances, which yielded the "Cracked Actor" album, from a few years ago. I'd love to share some of my music with you. Please friend me on Facebook, follow me on twitter or private message me here and I'll send you a promo CD or download. Totally agree on replacing "Across The Universe" with this one, which would have been a masterstroke. Another Bowie album, which could have been improved greatly, by one exchange IMO, is "Hunky Dory". I would have included this brilliantly demure track and saved "Fill Your Heart" for something else: ua-cam.com/video/YOBQBbqSs1g/v-deo.html
