Somalia's Huge Potential in Sesame Farming

Somalia is one of the potentially big exporters of sesame. In 2012 the country was ranked the 12th largest producer in the world, but poor policies and unending conflict threaten the country's potential. CCTV's Mohammed Hirmoge reports that businessmen believe that they are still doing well and the product could turn round the fortunes of the country.

If Mcdonald opens up in Somalia, that will be good for sesame farmers because all the burgers and fries can be cooked with sesame and all the burger buns have sesame in them. Also you can encourage Somalis to start using it in cooking their food instead of importing Olive oil from southern Europe and north Africa.
