Hi, I'm Charlotte Dobre. I'm an actor, reactor, singer and sometimes (not really) comedian. On this channel I do reactions, commentary and occasionally I make a joke or two. I love poking fun at social media, weddings, entitled people, tiktok and OF COURSE petty people. I upload daily, usually 7 days a week, unless life gets crazy or I get lazy. As an ex-rat owner , I understand. I cried so hard when I lost my heart rat. He was literally always with me. I had chronic depression and suicidal tendencies and he would stay by my side and lick my tears. He loved being pet and he was so funny. It's been 3 years and a half now, and I still think about him very often. I lost my other rats too but it never hurt as much as losing my baby Ferdinand. He was so awesome and affectionate.

How anyone could ever LAUGH at someone crying so hard that someone called the cops is beyond me. No one else gets to determine how upset someone should be when grieving the loss of a close companion.

It is protected from wind rain and intense sunlight It stays warm when the temperatures can go down to 30° at night in the summer So I always am happy to see the nest renewed and in the winter I can always tell if somebody kind of got a little crowded possibly the amazing pair wanting to both fit in there during bad weather. 😂❤

Aww yes my husband is now preparing for next season and building ALOT of bird houses lol we have a big horse barn newly built and my husband and his 4 friends were working on a part of the barn, a baby bird fell out of its nest and the nest was in such an area it couldn't be reached by just a latter...so 5 men spent 45 min carefully figuring out how to get baby bird safely in his nest and the family is doing just fine now lol also one decided to put a nest right on top of our light fixture on our covered front door. I had to wait and power wash all the bird 💩 off until all the family left flew the coop lol we love watching the birdies out our sunroom and the hummingbirds and even the honey bees. ❤ every spring we always just plan on power washing stuff after all families are safe and gone. Heck we even had a couple toads for 4 yrs that would come every spring through fall and my hubby kept asking at like 930 why are the garage lights on? I said no! Lights go off at 10 pm, the toads would set on our big rocks our under our bench and eat their dinner 😂😂 we named them bonnie and clyde, we had baby toads every yr from them too...

Better to have learned these were the circumstances than to have assumed someone else will contact and it turned out later no one did but it was a more dangerous situation that needed intervention.

the plane story reminded me of when i was stuck with my family for 9 HOURS on a train in the middle of Croatia. basically, a tree fell on the tracks on our way to budapest and they waited too long for us to be able to get a train back to Zagreb. they kept telling us "one more hour one more hour" until it was like 10 pm (we got on at about 6 pm) and by then we couldnt get a train back to zagreb and we were stuck in the middle of nowhere at this station that had no stores or places to get food. we were lucky my family and i had snack before hand because it was a 6 hour train ride WITHOUT the additional 9 hour delay. and they only offered us a crappy vanilla pudding croissant and warm water. and it was on my birthday. i relate heavily to those people on that plane. and i hope they get the compensation they deserve.

I get in trouble for this sometimes, but, people often don't take action because in normal situations it's unreasonable to do things like steal water and such, and people are uncomfortable doing unreasonable things in reasonable situations, which usually is a good thing and keeps society sane, even though that inhibition is exploited by corporations and such to treat people poorly with a smile - but I don't have as much of an inhibition to breaking rules and tend to be overly pragmatic and will embarrass my poor wife by taking action before other people have registered something is wrong (and then she recovers and realises my unreasonable action was a reasonable response to an unreasonable impetus). (I've talked to people afterwards who were shocked at their own inaction response and how long it took their brains to realize what was happening...)
So, just to say, yeah, that water was for them and someone should have handed it out sooner, so glad that he did do that, and nobody else having done that shows how easy it is to abuse people by seeming completely reasonable (please sit in your chair, we'll just be leaving in 45 minutes...)

Aside from losing a pet always being devastating, rats are incredibly intelligent and highly social animals that have a massive capacity for empathy and compassion. I've had rats going on 4 years now, and two of them have passed away. Both of them spent their last minutes cuddled in my arms cleaning the tears off my face because they wanted to give me comfort even as they were passing. The fact that they have so much love in them and such big personalities but are only with us for 2 or 3 years is devastating. I hope that girl is doing alright, and that she and her other rats are having an easy grieving process.

I remember about 12 years ago a country singer got their guitar absolutely shattered by the baggage handlers at United, and of course the company did nothing. So he wrote a scathing song about it and made a music video that showed actual footage of them throwing the guitars on the tarmac and what his guitar looked like after the fact. I still remember the melody every time I think of United Airlines.

I’ve heard nothing but utter abuse from United Airlines. There was that country singer years ago, who wrote a song about how the airline destroyed his guitar, the story about a lady who had a service animal die of starvation because the airline kept him in the cargo hold for a ridiculously long time, and the person who wouldn’t put a mask on for the flight, so the security literally punched them into submission before dragging them off the plane with blood running down their face. For a while, Southwest Airlines even changed their slogan. “We beat the competition, not you.”😂

In late june I went on a girls trip (3 girls including myself, and one of their moms) trip to florida using united airlines, getting there was fine. But when it came to leave... we had difficulties. Our flight was a direct route to my destination (NJ) but that got canceled for "weather reasons". We shrugged it off and found another direct to get home the next day. That one got canceled too so we just decided to stay an extra day in florida. By the end of the extra day, we got an indirect going from hueston to atlanta back to newark. In order to get that flight, my friend's dad was put on hold on the phone for 6-7 hours. We got to hueston just fine, but then they started delaying the atlanta flight. We got delayed about 5 hours or so (it was about midnight), and then they canceled our flight. Every united flight in that airport was canceled, or delayed further. Obviously, we hopped into the customer service line... Which took 10 minutes to walk past. The line was about four hours long, and I'm being generous. We were calling family who were home, who were calling the airport only to be put on hold for hours. Eventually, my dad found is a hotel which was 30/60 minutes away. We were the last ones to get into that hotel, otherwise the entire city's supply of hotels, airbnb's n anywhere else to sleep was full. We were told the next flight we could get was going to be on friday (It was tuesday) we said sure, so we got a different hotel after people began to leave. Mind you, this would be four days staying in a hotel when all of our bags are somehow in newark. All I had in my carry on was my wallet, rollerskates, and maybe a half empty bag of candy. My friend on the other hand, had relatively he same amount of things in her carry on, but she needs glasses. She left her glasses in her suitcase and had planned to just use her contacts for the day. By the first morning in hueston she had to throw out her contacts due to the fact she had nowhere to put them. The mom of that friend had only brought enough cash to fund the trip to florida, and as a result we were also running out of cash. (She didnt want to use her card because of some of the CREEPS the world has to offer nowadays) We were given toothbrushes but that was about it in our stay at that hotel. When we finally were getting ready for our next flight to atlanta back to newark, the moment we were checking in Atlanta canceled on us. Thats the fourth canceled flight on us. The mom instantly started to cry, but it was as if god was finally giving us mercy, a flight to detroit opened. We got on that flight successfully, and they had a connection to newark. After 5 extra days, we were finally able to get home.

Bad take on the rat story. My coworker called in crying saying she was going to be late bc one of her pet mice died. I told her to take her time and I’d cover her shift if she needed but she insisted on coming in to distract herself. I told her I’d talk to management for her, and let them know her beloved pet died. They were super sympathetic until she let slip it was a mouse, and the manager even tried to talk smack about her with me and a few other coworkers.
I shut them down SO fast. My cats passed away within months of each other and I was so emotionally devastated that my immune system failed. Literally failed. I was suddenly so allergic to pollen and metal that I couldn’t go outside or touch metal (including my laptop and door knobs) without getting a poison-ivy level rash.
We do not control our grief, and losing a pet is losing a companion. The devastation of losing a pet is not something that should be mocked, even if it’s not a “conventional” pet.
Plus, you never know if that pet was an Emotional Support Animal or if the owner was Neurodivergent. With the way she was wailing, there was obviously a major emotional attachment, and it really frustrates me that so many people are so quick to think a 3+ year bond with an animal is invalid because you don’t see the appeal.

Having worked in customer service, I don't think they're trained to act dumb. It's more likely that they have no power to do what you want and/or are worried about their own job security. It's so much pressure from both the customer and management... Never again and I feel for the airline employees who have no control over the situation

Glad you did that! This story is nuts...there were other similar instances this summer with people stuck in a plane on a tarmac in 90+ degree F heat. I can't believe this is acceptable... I got stuck in the Southwest Airlines holiday meltdown in December 2022, but at least they created a web page for passengers to go and submit receipts for reimbursement (got stranded on the way to visit my brother and then also got stranded flying home, so lots of extra expenses). Guess United isn't afraid of losing customers...

Years ago I came home to smoke coming out of my townhome from a fire that started in my neighbors garage. (Everyone was fine, and only some smoke damage to my unit.) I arrived a minute after the fire trucks and started freaking out screaming "My babies are in there! My babies are in there!" The firefighters run in looking for children, but of course don't find any. When they came back out I had to calm down and explain they were cats. After a very loud eye roll, they found my babies and put them in my car for safety. No humans or animals were hurt during the drama. 😅

I will say I absolutely believe the kid with the United story, even though my experience with United was very different. Our first flight was delayed by 3 hours, and because we were on a time limit (wedding two days later) EMPLOYEES (not the company themselves) worked with us every step to get us to the wedding on time (admittedly barely, and they actually delayed the wedding by 10 minutes so we got to see everything). The company itself did nothing right, but employees and personnel were very helpful. I really think it's where you are and who you're dealing with.

He brought up really good points though. The airlines are a disaster. Most commercial flights are very calculated, systematic, and monopolistic. At this point consistent overbooking is a very well known problem on major airlines, and flight attendants are notoriously underpaid (as well as paid in flight time, rather than work time).
The flight attendant probably sat on her phone because she is probably treated terribly by the company, and didn’t want to be responsible for the 7 extra hours of unpaid, high stress labor of angry customers when she herself didn’t have any answers and wasn’t even getting paid.
