And China is in a point in their economy where they need money, and as much of it as possible. So, it’s no surprise Supercell is being extra scummy. their downfall has been long overdue.
I really doubt that China is the reason why. It's not like the Chinese government owns TenCent. Can the Chinese government put pressure on TenCent? Yes. Would they put pressure on Tencent to give China a few million dollars? No. The Chinese economy will not be fixed by a few companies giving the Chinese government a few million dollars each and pissing off the company heads in the process.
While I'm certain that China could put pressure on Tencent to make more money: 1. Tencent will not fix the Chinese economy by giving it a few more million dollars 2. Tencent is not owned by the Chinese government. China is already past that point. 3. Tencent does not own Supercell. The 84% figure I'm seeing so much here is: A. Owned by a consortium that Tencent owns 51.2% of B. The actual figure the consortium owns is 81.4%

Imo, every Supercell game should have its developpement team coached by the Brawl Stars devs. I remember a few years ago, when all the Supercell games were thriving, Brawl Stars was the first to fall into the monetization hole, and lord did the game go deep. After 6 months of no communication from the development team, there were so many complaints, the progression system was so broken that many lost hope, including me. But some creators (I'm thinking in particular of KairosTime) have put their hatred aside and proposed constructive changes through their videos. And on the other hand, the devs decided to listen extremely carefully to the feedback. It took time, but step by step, huge changes after huge changes, despite a few errors, the game has re-established a fair progression system for P2W and F2P players. I know it took a lot of patience, modesty and teamwork but the Brawl Stars devs proved that it was possible. A big thank you to them for saving the game and I would really like the team in charge of Clash Royale to take advantage of it. Above all, I don't want this to happen to Clash of Clans as well, there's still time to go back.

Here is why brawl stars WORKS in terms of paying for things: 1. High level players pay for the SKINS in the game that don’t give them any buffs 2. Even if you use money to upgrade a brawler to max, you will only go against other brawlers who are at your same level as oppose to a level 1 brawler only going against other level 1’s 3. It’s a game you can’t get bored of really because you can constantly play different brawlers and almost every season they add more brawlers to play and max out! As opposed to to how clash Royale adds insanely overpowered cards that if you max out you basically win until a day later when they get emergency nerfed Edit: I worded this wrong; you go against people with similar amount of trophies not level.
Also the time it takes to get a single brawler to a point where you can reasonably compete is infinitely lower than the time it would take to get a deck at a viable level. Also the levels are way less important. I'm a decent brawl stars player and I've beaten people 6+ levels higher than me, but a 2 level lead in clash royale is practically insurmountable.
Considering you need 8 cards in a clash royale deck and they all need to be high level, compared to just needing 1 character for brawl stars to trophy push it. Brawl stars was just designed for players, and clash royale was designed for payers.
Wtf are you on about matchmaking being based on the brawler's level? It's based on said brawler's trophies and THAT'S IT. You can purposely lose trophies and play maxed brawlers on the lowest leagues terrorising everybody (tho you get little to no rewards for it)
The thing with games is that pretty much any playing of the game is transformative as the without the person playing will just be stuck on the title screen.

Hi Ken. my brother works for supercell. I have sometimes asked what his day looks like exactly. I have started to delve more and more into supercell games. because his stories of how they worked behind the scenes interested me. After playing the games more and watching videos of the games and now also seeing what the state of supercell is now, I asked my brother if he wanted to share more about it. He didn't want to say much about it, but what struck me is that he was very curious about asking me why do you want to know this and what does it concern you and there is nothing going on with us. I started to have some doubts about what is going on with him and why he is asking such questions. He also came across as quite fierce when I asked my question. I personally think there is something going on behind the scenes at Supercell. and especially behind the scenes in games like Clash Royale and now also CoC. This is just information that you can't do much with, but I strongly suspect that there is something going on at supercell that we don't know about.
BTW, I hope supercell will not see this comment. It might get deleted. This doesn't give us direct information but this does give some signals that something is going on with supercell.

Took me a little bit to realize this was about Supercell Oy, the video game company, and not Supercell, the Japanese pop rock band
Imo, every Supercell game should have its developpement team coached by the Brawl Stars devs. I remember a few years ago, when all the Supercell games were thriving, Brawl Stars was the first to fall into the monetization hole, and lord did the game go deep. After 6 months of no communication from the development team, there were so many complaints, the progression system was so broken that many lost hope, including me. But some creators (I'm thinking in particular of KairosTime) have put their hatred aside and proposed constructive changes through their videos. And on the other hand, the devs decided to listen extremely carefully to the feedback. It took time, but step by step, huge changes after huge changes, despite a few errors, the game has re-established a fair progression system for P2W and F2P players. I know it took a lot of patience, modesty and teamwork but the Brawl Stars devs proved that it was possible. A big thank you to them for saving the game and I would really like the team in charge of Clash Royale to take advantage of it. Above all, I don't want this to happen to Clash of Clans as well, there's still time to go back.

Here is why brawl stars WORKS in terms of paying for things:
1. High level players pay for the SKINS in the game that don’t give them any buffs
2. Even if you use money to upgrade a brawler to max, you will only go against other brawlers who are at your same level as oppose to a level 1 brawler only going against other level 1’s
3. It’s a game you can’t get bored of really because you can constantly play different brawlers and almost every season they add more brawlers to play and max out! As opposed to to how clash Royale adds insanely overpowered cards that if you max out you basically win until a day later when they get emergency nerfed
Edit: I worded this wrong; you go against people with similar amount of trophies not level.
Also the time it takes to get a single brawler to a point where you can reasonably compete is infinitely lower than the time it would take to get a deck at a viable level. Also the levels are way less important. I'm a decent brawl stars player and I've beaten people 6+ levels higher than me, but a 2 level lead in clash royale is practically insurmountable.
Considering you need 8 cards in a clash royale deck and they all need to be high level, compared to just needing 1 character for brawl stars to trophy push it. Brawl stars was just designed for players, and clash royale was designed for payers.

Wtf are you on about matchmaking being based on the brawler's level? It's based on said brawler's trophies and THAT'S IT. You can purposely lose trophies and play maxed brawlers on the lowest leagues terrorising everybody (tho you get little to no rewards for it)

What the hell are you smoking, brother? All levels of the new brawl pass give you significantly more value than the previous brawl pass. All the numbers are in the game and you can compare them with the old numbers to make sure.
when they changed brawlpass it was for good reason because when yhou finished the old pass you had NOTHING to do for over a month but now you finish the brawl pass and a week later you have another brawl pass to do which gives more reason and incentive to play the game

Hi Ken. my brother works for supercell. I have sometimes asked what his day looks like exactly. I have started to delve more and more into supercell games. because his stories of how they worked behind the scenes interested me. After playing the games more and watching videos of the games and now also seeing what the state of supercell is now, I asked my brother if he wanted to share more about it. He didn't want to say much about it, but what struck me is that he was very curious about asking me why do you want to know this and what does it concern you and there is nothing going on with us. I started to have some doubts about what is going on with him and why he is asking such questions. He also came across as quite fierce when I asked my question. I personally think there is something going on behind the scenes at Supercell. and especially behind the scenes in games like Clash Royale and now also CoC. This is just information that you can't do much with, but I strongly suspect that there is something going on at supercell that we don't know about.
BTW, I hope supercell will not see this comment. It might get deleted. This doesn't give us direct information but this does give some signals that something is going on with supercell.
