Thank you for sharing this video, I am going back to trucking over the road again, and always have set my old drum brakes once a week like clockwork. I now see there are disk brakes and this gives me the proper way to adjust these now. I do like the shorter breaking distance they provide now as to the old style drum brakes. Appreciate your video and explaining it to me and all of us that need to know.

Just adding that I got accepted to Covenant driving training and hope to be driving for them very soon, I have my CDL-A Permit, just waiting for the hard copy to hit the mailbox now...
I did OTR from 1996 to 2001.... Flatbed Division...
Going back to Dry Van for at least a year, then look at my options, but if they are alright I will stay on with Covenant....

Is it drum or disk brakes? I think your best bet would be to cage the brake chamber

I have a 2016 and it seems to be a different setup because i see the ajuster and the grece nipple but i don't see the part that you would pull out before ajusting! How does that work?

There are some variances for slack adjusters. Some just require a 9/16 socket (possibly a 7/16) to adjust. It’s the same procedure. Tighten all the way then half a turn out

Its called a sheer adapter. That way if one is missing it they know what to call it when searching

How can you check push rod travel.

There are measuring instruments to check the tolerance, only way I know is to do an applied brake test

The brakes might be out of adjustment and too tight, are they drum or disk?

Honestly I don’t but is you are referring to a trailer chassis then it’s the same procedure just release the trailer brakes
