    Thank you! Thank you! I have been crocheting for 3 years now and now maybe I have a chance to crochet a sweater that doesn’t choke me our my daughters. This isn’t a subject many have tackled in crochet here on UA-cam.

      Wonderful! I am so glad you enjoyed the video! I LOVE short rows! If you're looking for a good child/adult sweater pattern that includes them for a really nice fit, you should check out my Confetti DK Pullover pattern (www.nomadstitches.com/shop/confetti-dk-set). Although most of my newer patterns include them!

    Such a good technique, but also understanding why it’s needed is very helpful. Thank you 😊

      Si! Yo también soy más fan del LD, pero hay veces que la gente no se da cuenta de la diferencia!

    Very helpful. I have a pattern that has short rows, and I have not done them in crochet. Only knitting.

      You should give them a go! I incorporate them into most of mine and I think people are starting to get used to them now!

    I wonder if this is an easy fix for the issue of visual difference between the front and back of the stitches.
    I only thought of this after learning to mirror knit but it should theoretically solve the issue at least with most stitches.
    When working on the wrong side, you must work stitches inverse to how you normally do. This means holding the yarn to the front of the work, inserting the hook from the back to the front, and wrapping the yarn in the opposite direction one normally does (example being from the traditional “yarn over” to the “yarn under”)

    Thank you for this - it’s very clear and so helpful. My question is about pattern instructions for short rows: is it implied that after we work the number of stitches for the short row that we turn and work our way back to the start? Thanks!!

    • @NomadStitches
      @NomadStitches  3 роки тому

      Hi! Well, depends on the pattern, really, and on what you want to achieve. Maybe you want to go back to the beginning, maybe past the beginning. Or maybe you want to do another short row on the other side before reaching the beginning! If it's in a pattern, it should say. But if you're just playing, you can do whatever you want!

    For the single crochet two together at the step, do you do a normal sc and the sc2tog in the last stitch of the short row?

    • @NomadStitches
      @NomadStitches  11 місяців тому

      I don't tend to do the sc2tog method. I prefer to skip the first st on the return row. But if you are, the sc2tog joins the last st of the row with the step to close any gaps. you DON'T want to do the extra sc in the same st or you will be adding more sts.
