This is the best video I've seen explaining the operation. Am looking for a manual for this product that relates to schematics and Parts list. Anyone has and can sell me a copy ? Best video
Thanks, I just bought one of these to sit along side my other sencore vintage tools, a mighty mite tube tester and a field effect VOM. I can see why they put a switch in to turn the buzzer on or off, it get's annoying very quickly :) did they put a volume pot in for the buzzer? I like sencore for the high build quality combined with a simplification of the tool to target the most common faults - the testers are often good tools for noobs in general, and then a few years later you figure that you'd like to invest in an AVO or a Hickok or something more comprehensively, yet ultimately, much much more complicated to use. Thanks sencore, still going strong too I believe and still based at Sioux falls.
I dont have a full schematic for this unit, so I am not sure whether they put a small trimmer for the buzzer loudness. I doubt it, though. Sencore made quality gear -- it gets the job done. For example, you probably watch Shango066 here on youtube, who is truly a top-notch technician, and he usually uses Sencore mighty mites (or equivalent, such as BK 607/667) for tube testing and a Sencore CRT tester for his TV resurrections. Real technicians have always respected Sencore. Good equipment.
I apologize. My comments below have been scrambled by UA-cam / Google text editor. I will restore them to my original condition, once they fix it! (Why do I love the days of "hands-on" technology!)
Best video yet on this "simple but made needlessly complex in the manual" transistor tester. This video made calibration a breeze. Thanks!!
