When half your video was spent on how to put in batteries, I didn't have much hope. Then you went over the logitech software piece. And I felt really stupid. As soon as I downloaded the software and it recognized my old keyboard, I was in business. Thank you Todd, you are awesome.
Thank you👍 You're a life saver with the Unifying trick💻 Who would thunk? In my transitioning to Win10 I just had it installed on my second drive and the keyboard would not work even though it installed fine on my other drive with Win7. Now I'm good to go🏃♀

Just imitating what you did in real time solved my trouble 😂
I was skeptical that installing the unified software would work because Logitech had recently told me on my other pc that the devices are plug and play. After I downloaded the software and installed and it came to the screen to type letters and it did I threw my hands in the air and shouted hallelujah 😂😂.

Thanks for posting this. Tried restarting PC, uninstalling, reinstalling drivers. Some sites suggesting downloading software (glad I didn’t do that!) I forgot about hard resetting the keyboard itself. Lesson learned. When soft reset doesn’t work, remember to try hard resetting everything. 👍

I love this keyboard, haven't changed the battery in 4 years so was mortified when it stopped working! Nearly gave up the will to live watching the first half of this guide but soooooo glad I pushed through. Problem solved! You are my superstar, Todd. Thank you.
How many batteries does it need?
Found a K400 Plus at a thrift store today, no battery cover but good condition otherwise. $1.50. Touchpad was not working, but unplugging and re-plugging the receiver did the trick. I feel so silly for not trying that first. Thank you!

Thanks for your video. My dongle and keyboard have not been communicating with each other for a long time. After watching your video and trying it the first time, it was not connected. However, after trying the advanced settings on the Logitech Unifying Software, unpairing and re-pairing the device a few times, it finally detected the keyboard properly again! Thanks for your video, much appreciated!
hi my k400+ when using i used to be able to tap my finger on the pad to open a page or double tap to scroll down, for some reason i now have to click the left button its really annoying have you any idea how to change it back ? thanks in advance

hi All, i broke my k400+´s receiver but i got the one tied to the mouse, all logitech. downloading the orifinal Unifying Soft from Logi´s page I could perform everything like it´s pointed out in this video. many thanks Todd for bringing light to this issue. Note that there are other videos but the soft downloaded for me, did not work out. I am happyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!
en mi idioma natal: funcionó perfecto usando el soft oficial de la pagina oficial de logitech, usar ese y verán que sucede tal cual lo que muestra TODD aquí. Anteriormente no podia usar el receiver que me quedó del mouse con el teclado. ahora si!!!!!

can't get this keyboard Bluetooth to be picked up by the AMAZON FIRESTICK 4K MAX when using the Bluetooth in a USB Hub via an OTG Cable. Tested the keyboard on a laptop and works fine, When you plug the Bluetooth into the USB and OTG via The Firestick and go into the settings on the Firestcik and search for Bluetooth it just does not pick the Bluetooth receiver up!
Was unable to find a Logitech Android download for the firestick too as the UNIFY software is only compatible to windows devices. :(
my issue is the one finger click does not work,i always have to use two finger touch

I picked up the k400r for next to nothing.
But because i prefer to switch the mouse buttons primary and secondary. it unfortunately effects this particular keyboards touchpad (where my laptop touchpad is separate from the physical left right click)
Does the k400 plus have that problem?

My k400 plus will only type symbols but not numbers. I have tried to troubleshoot with no results.

If you buy the keyboard, first step is removing the GP batteries and install other safe batteries.
The leak of GP batteries killed the keyboard seriously.

I tested my batteries by pressing the double-half note (music note). If window media player pops up then the batteries are fine. If your keys are not working but you still have windows media player pop up, then log out, open accessibility options and uncheck 'filter keys'. Many ways to go about this, plus, this gives you the ability to turn on the on-screen keyboard if all else fails.
