I remember the day of my first day of college when I got my first pair of Bluetooth headphones from Sony. I remember it was MDR XB80bs and for me at that time it was a sound profile I could not forget for the rest of my life. Sony has been the go to brand for me ever since.
People doesn't realize how much they have established technology that we consider normal nowadays. And even when they fail, they attempts are always amazing. My go to brand as well, in practically everything. TVs, sound, cameras since the very beginning (and I have converted way too many canikon users, I should get a fee jajaj).
I think Sony needs to come up with less confusing names. These seem to be a middle-step between the WF-C500 and the WF-1000XM4, where the LinkBuds fill a completely different market space. LinkBuds S sounds like a version of the LinkBuds for a different price point, and they just aren't.

Perhaps Sony decided to stop naming its products with ugly names since the LinkBuds and they will name their TWF buds with LinkBuds + something onwards
I can't even shazam the song... I get that the last lyrics are Linkbuds S.... but the rhythm and chord progression and spacey effect make this song go to another level. This should definitely be released as a song so I can put it on my phone and listen to it all day...

Hello guys, I have bought this buds last year in April and started facing battery drain issue from few days ago. Battery is charging till 86% only for left earbud and draining within 15 mins or so. Tried everything mentioned in other threads including factory reset, Google assistant disable, swaping touch functionality, minimal app settings etc. Issue is still there. Any help will be appreciated. As I have bought these from abroad they are not covered in warranty. I Believe in Sony products. That's why I bought it works well but it does not work well 😢😢😢

These are actually closed-off too whit anc compared to the original LinkBuds. These guys just much lighter than the flagship ones (and have somewhat better tech since its newer)
It's weird that they named it Link buds, I thought that's for their open ear lineups. Anyway it looks like a solid choice for people who don't want to spend too much to get the XM4 while still has the need of anc and all the features Sony provides.
It seems like "Linkbuds" is for their small and light midrange wireless earphones. The name "Linkbuds S" sounds like the follow up to the orignal open "Linkbuds". Maybe like "Linkbuds N" for the noise canceling would be a bit clearer and make it more distinct from from each other.
I've seen linus tech tips review. If I didn't semi recently get my galaxy bud pros and also wipe my free 2 spend money almost completely out on vacation I would get these.

Sony sound great but I feel the problem with the design is that they are not so comfortable when you listen to them in bed. One plus buds z were the most comfortable buds ever made . Longer the stem smaller the buds and more comfortable. But these don't even have stem so the entire bulk goes into them making them even more uncomfortable, you realize that when you turn your head on the pillow
I don't think so since spatial audio(Dolby Atmos) and 360 reality audio are not really interoperable with each other and also the fact that Sony didn't even licensed the 360 reality audio to apple

Biggest concern with all wireless earphones is they are not repairable once the battery dies in 2years you have to throw them away. Costly environmental wastage....
Most of the enhancements that sony advertises appear to be just a gimmick. That's a biggest disappointment for me. The sound quality to me was extraordinary in the old days with in-ear earphones of Sony. But I did not enjoy a single pair of tws made by sony. It seems mediocre. I wish that sony could make something drool worthy!
Nice product, but for 179, no wireless charging or multi point connectivity is kind of a deal breaker, like my litteral 70 bucks earfun sounds quite good and have wireless charging AND ANC. Like with airpods pro literally being in the realm of 200 bucks, its hardly justifiable to choose those over other earbuds from other brands. I understand they want you to buy XM4’S but that instead makes me feel as a consumer, that I am better off with other brands (i.e: Beats buds for 30 bucks less and airpods pro for 30 bucks more). So yeah, kind of a bad move by Sony tbh

In my opinion it should be named as the XM5-lite or something like that. The link buds name should only for their open ear lineups.
