Joon i thought that this was such a powerful video. Depending on what people want to do, a lot of top individuals in the film industry don't put any effort into understanding the film equipment. For film directors especially, it's all about the story, the gear is about the last thing that they think about. In this UA-cam space where people are constantly talking about the next big camera and editing software, although that is all fun, nothing compares to the story. Thank you so much for shining light upon this, there needs to be more like you dude!!!
Hey Ryan, thanks for your time and so glad you enjoyed the video! Checking your stuff out, I see that you've got similar interests. Great to see :) Keep going man and hopefully UA-cam can eventually shift away from purely gear reviews (although I doubt it haha)
@@JoonJoseph LOLOL Dude fingers crossed. I feel like UA-cam has unintentionally (actually probably intentionally) created a culture of gear heads yet you rarely see story driven channels. It's quite sad, but like you said, hopefully it will change!
yessss, keep creating for fun. Honestly man... I REALLY love your POV and I'm LOVING these videos. I did exactly what you said and invested in a gimbal & drone for stabilized/aerial shots. They're just so unique and I wanted to capture life around me like that. Handheld I'm trying to get better but I still feel it's pretty shaky for me. The music you pick is always perfect with your videos too. Keep it up Joon!
Gil, thanks man. Really appreciate you always coming through with kindness! Glad you vibe with the video and yeah you're killing that aerial game haha. Definitely don't have to master handheld if that's now how you envision things. Might just not be for you! And thanks for sharing that story about the park. Definitely good to notice those small moments of life. Hope you can keep spreading that energy. Cheers!
Well put together Joon! I actually started UA-cam with creating weekly vlogs when I was in design school. I like documenting as much of my life as much as possible whether I use the footage to post if not. I find myself occasionally looking back on old footage to get a glimpse into the person I was back then and helps remind me to be grateful where I am now. I hope more people see the value in documenting their journey! Really loving your topics. Keep it up!👏
Thanks Kyle! That's awesome, I definitely agree that it's a way to see who you were and appreciate growth. Thanks again for your time! Looking forward to your videos too
This was so real. Thank you for sharing even when its tough. It really shows how good it can be to be transparent and human. I love the whole artistry behind video and can't wait to see when you come back to revisit this topic.
Yo Kevin! That actually really means a lot man. Thanks for picking up on that and saying that. Super glad I found you on UA-cam. Looking forward to your next video!
@@JoonJoseph Likewise brotha. It's cool to find different people with different interests and backgrounds but still can come together and enjoy something as simple as making videos. Keep doing your thing man. 👊
Well said Joon! I'm also a big fan of documenting that intimate moment and handheld aspect of videography. hope you're having a good day, if not that's okay too ❤️ sending you love bro!
Honestly, today, I was walking around the park and I'm naturally an introvert and a white guy sitting on a bench made eye contact with me and told me, "Hey, have a good day." Idk why but that felt REALLY good to me. I never really hear that from strangers on my walks as it's normally just a head nod or a small lip smile so it was just.. different. I might do that from now on to other strangers
